For Hồ Chim 1 and Hồ Chim 2 villages in Na Sang commune, this year’s Great National Unity Festival holds a special meaning. This is the first time the two villages have organized the festival together. With 3 ethnic groups living together, over 300 households and 1,600 people, the villagers are even more proud to see their homeland changing daily, lives becoming more prosperous, roads clean, and houses spacious. Especially, under the leadership of the party committee and government, the spirit of solidarity in the community is strongly nurtured, and patriotic emulation movements are widespread. Every household tries to develop its economy, convert crops and livestock, and work together to build a prosperous, happy village.
Trần Hồng Quân, Chairman of the Na Sang commune People’s Committee, remarked: “The first time these two villages organized the festival together clearly showed the people’s precious spirit of solidarity and consensus. From small things in daily life to efforts in economic development and building cultural life, everyone stands side-by-side, helping each other. This bond has created collective strength, spreading faith and pride in every family, contributing to the village’s continuous renewal and flourishment.”
Not just in Co Nỏng or Hồ Chim 1 and 2, residential areas across the province are currently bustling with excitement for the Great National Unity Festival. Throughout the villages and alleys, there are sounds of laughter, music, performances, folk games, and lively exchanges. Everyone is eager to participate, joining hands to strengthen neighborhood bonds, share joy, and show a spirit of solidarity and sharing in the community. Vũ Thị Phương, a resident of residential group 23, Điện Biên Phủ ward, shared: “The festival is fun every year, everyone is excited to attend. People meet, talk, play, and interact. The festival makes everyone in the neighborhood friendlier and more connected, feeling like the whole community is one family.”
Bùi Văn Tợi, Secretary of the Party Cell for Residential Group 23, Điện Biên Phủ ward, said: “Through cultural and artistic activities, the festival brings a warm atmosphere and creates harmony in the residential area. It is also an occasion for the people to promote democracy, build and strengthen the great national unity bloc, and jointly promote patriotic emulation movements in the area.”
After the success of the pilot festivals in villages, the Great National Unity Festival will be held simultaneously across the province, lasting until the end of November 18. Depending on actual conditions, localities will proactively organize it on an appropriate scale, aiming for a complete and practical festival. This is an occasion for people to meet, exchange, and share joy, while also promoting the role of the two-level local government in coordinating the organization, creating conditions for everyone to participate, contribute, and nurture the great national unity bloc and build a cultural life in residential areas.
