Háng Pu Xi village celebrates great unity festival

ĐBP - On November 8, comrade Mùa A Vảng, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Điện Biên provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, attended the 2025 Great National Unity Festival in Háng Pu Xi village, Xa Dung commune.

Háng Pu Xi village currently has 72 households with 380 people. In recent times, the village’s Front Work Committee has closely followed the Party Cell’s Resolution and the guidance of the Standing Board of the Xa Dung commune’s Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to effectively implement key tasks, and has actively communicated the Party’s guidelines and the State’s legal policies.

At the festival, delegates and people of Háng Pu Xi village reviewed the glorious tradition of the Front, affirming the spirit of great national unity. Currently, emulation movements, especially the “All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban centers” campaign, are effectively implemented, contributing to promoting economic development and sustainable poverty reduction.

Háng Pu Xi village currently has a total grain food cultivation area of 85ha; an average food supply of 447.36kg/person/year; 90% of households have permanent houses; and the village has 29 well-off households (accounting for 40.27%).

The work of building cultural life has achieved outstanding results, with 87% of families achieving the “cultural family” title. The village’s convention is regularly supplemented with practical content, contributing to maintaining a civilized lifestyle in weddings, funerals, and festivals, and gradually eliminating outdated customs. Social security work is always a focus. The spirit of mutual affection in the community is clearly shown through meaningful support activities, such as: the “For the Poor” Fund, the Elderly Fund, and the Red Cross Fund. Especially, facing heavy damage from flash floods and landslides in late July and early August 2025, the villagers strongly promoted the spirit of unity, actively supporting with food and labor days to help affected households overcome the consequences and soon stabilize their lives.

Speaking at the festival, comrade Mùa A Vảng acknowledged and praised the efforts of the party cell committee, leadership, mass organizations, and people of Háng Pu Xi village in building and consolidating the great national unity bloc. He requested that in the coming time, the party committee, government, Fatherland Front, and all people of Háng Pu Xi village continue to focus on building a strong political system, especially in residential areas; focus on building a cultural, civilized lifestyle and abandoning outdated customs; and organize the “All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban centers” campaign even more effectively. He also called for focusing on organizing and improving the quality of emulation movements and campaigns; coordinating to motivate families to compete in economic development and build village solidarity; and paying attention to supporting and helping poor and near-poor households to rise up in life.
