From grassroots Party cell meetings, personnel consultation conferences, to activities celebrating the Congress… all reflect a strong determination for renewal.

ĐBP - As soon as the two-tier local government model came into operation, in addition to ensuring the necessary infrastructure and equipment, Tủa Thàng commune in Điện Biên province placed special emphasis on arranging and assigning personnel with the principle of “putting the right person in the right job” to meet the requirements of the new stage.

ĐBP - The heavy rain that occurred from the night of July 31 to the early morning of August 1 caused flash floods and landslides, inflicting severe damage to lives, property, and infrastructure in many highland communes across Điện Biên province. Local authorities, together with functional forces, are mobilizing maximum manpower and resources to focus on relief efforts, ensuring that no flood-affected resident lacks food or clothing.

ĐBP - On the afternoon of August 3, following a direct visit to residents severely affected by natural disasters in Điện Biên province, Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính, Head of the National Civil Defense Steering Committee, and the Government’s working delegation held a meeting with the Standing Board of the Điện Biên provincial Party Committee to assess and direct recovery efforts.

ĐBP - On the afternoon of August 3, after visiting and encouraging residents affected by flooding in Tìa Dình commune, Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính and the Government delegation arrived in Háng Pu Xi hamlet, Xa Dung commune, to inspect and direct post-disaster recovery efforts following a flash flood that occurred in the early hours of August 1.

ĐBP - At around 2:00 p.m. today (August 3), Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính and a Government delegation arrived by helicopter in Tìa Dình commune, Điện Biên province to visit and encourage local residents affected by recent flooding, as well as to inspect and direct ongoing rescue and recovery operations. Accompanying the delegation was provincial Party Secretary Trần Quốc Cường.

ĐBP - In the early morning of August 2, Deputy Prime Minister (PM) Trần Hồng Hà, together with a government working delegation, arrived at Háng Pu Xi hamlet, Xa Dung commune, Điện Biên province to inspect and direct rescue and recovery operations following a devastating flash flood.

ĐBP - After one month of operating under the new two‑tier local government system, the political apparatus of communes and wards across Điện Biên province has gradually functioned smoothly, effectively, and in a coordinated manner. One key factor behind this success has been the clear assignment of tasks, linking specific responsibilities to each individual based on the principle of “self‑awareness of responsibility” so that every official and civil servant works proactively, constructively, and seriously.

ĐBP - Điện Biên is a mountainous, border province in the Northwest, sharing a national border with both Laos and China. It holds an important strategic position in socio-economic development, national defense, and security within the overall defensive posture of Military Region 2 and the entire country.

ĐBP - Immediately after officially operating under the new commune-level government structure, the Tủa Thàng commune Party Committee has focused on thorough and careful preparations to successfully organize its first Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term.

ĐBP - Inspired by President Hồ Chí Minh’s teaching that “to lead a revolution, the Party must be strong; a strong Party depends on well-functioning grassroots cells; strong cells depend on virtuous Party members,” the Điện Biên provincial Military Party Committee firmly believes that Party members are the vital link between the Party and the people. The Party Charter emphasizes that grassroots units are the Party’s foundation and that its members are revolutionary pioneers of the working class and the nation.

ĐBP - As a mountainous border province with a strategically vital position in national defense and security, Điện Biên has always been designated as a key area in building a strong defensive zone. In the context of implementing organizational streamlining policies for a more efficient and effective government apparatus, the restructuring of military agencies presents new requirements: maintaining and improving the quality of advisory work despite reduced personnel, broader management responsibilities, and increasingly complex coordination, while still ensuring the successful execution of local military and defense duties.

ĐBP - On the afternoon of July 27, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Tô Lâm, along with a delegation of senior leaders from the Party, State, and Government, held a working session with key officials of Điện Biên province to discuss socio-economic development, national defense, security, and social welfare in the region.

ĐBP - On July 27, marking the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - 2025), Party General Secretary Tô Lâm, accompanied by a delegation of the Party and State officials, visited the Memorial Temple for Martyrs on the Điện Biên Phủ battlefield, paid tribute at the A1 Martyrs’ Cemetery, and visited the family of war veteran Phạm Văn Ngân in Điện Biên Phủ ward.
