Regiment 82 ready for new training season

ĐBP - The officers and soldiers of Regiment 82, Division 355 (Military Region 2) are currently working with a high sense of urgency to finalize all aspects of preparation for the 2026 training season.

Their mission is to welcome and train 950 new recruits, a goal they are approaching with a proactive spirit and a commitment to absolute safety.

For the 2026 intake, the regiment is set to receive recruits from the provinces of Điện Biên, Sơn La, Lai Châu, and Phú Thọ, representing an increase of over 100 soldiers compared to the previous year. The overall quality of the incoming cohort is exceptionally high, with approximately 30% of the recruits holding college or university degrees and 95% meeting the top two tiers of health standards. This impressive foundation provides a significant advantage for the unit as it seeks to elevate training standards and establish a strictly regularized environment.

Since the initial directives were issued, the regiment has worked closely with local military agencies to conduct thorough background checks and finalize recruitment files, ensuring that management and training are streamlined from day one. The unit’s Party Committee and chain-of-command have also directed all training companies to draft specialized resolutions for the 2026 mission, while simultaneously completing the personnel system and organizing intensive workshops for squad leaders and above to unify training methods and organizational capacity.

Parallel to these personnel efforts, the unit has focused heavily on infrastructure. Barracks, mess halls, and common areas have been refurbished and repainted, while all dissemination banners and slogans have been synchronized to create a green, clean, and beautiful environment. Regiment 82 has identified its core priorities for the new season as drill commands, physical fitness, and marksmanship, with a focus on instilling discipline from the very first week. Training methods have been modernized to be more realistic and better suited to the psychological profiles and educational backgrounds of today’s young soldiers.

Directly involved in this process is Captain Nguyễn Anh Linh, Commander of Company 1, who has proactively updated lesson plans and audited training aids. He emphasizes that officers must maintain a close bond with their subordinates, capturing their thoughts and providing timely guidance. By organizing cultural, artistic, and sporting activities, the unit creates an enthusiastic atmosphere that helps new soldiers feel secure in their service.

Major Lê Hồng Việt, the regiment’s Political Chief, stated that the ultimate objective is to meet all recruitment quotas with absolute quality and safety, ensuring that all inspection results exceed the targets set in their resolutions. With such synchronized and responsible preparation, Regiment 82 is ready to transform these recruits into an elite force for the military region.
