Thanks to the close leadership of the Party committees and authorities alongside the active participation of the entire political system, the province has essentially completed all critical preparations to ensure the election is democratic, lawful, safe, and successful.
The province is organized into three National Assembly constituencies, 11 provincial People’s Council constituencies, and 263 commune-level units. Across these jurisdictions, 926 polling stations have been established, including seven specialized areas, with an equal number of Polling Areas ready to facilitate the process for a total of 429,146 registered voters. Infrastructure and logistical preparations have been a primary focus of provincial attention during this period to ensure every citizen can exercise their right to vote.
The provincial Election Committee has distributed 8,392 sets of documents to local levels, providing standardized guidance on the dimensions of ballot boxes, ballot colors, and insignia for election officials. On February 25, the Department of Home Affairs, in collaboration with the Điện Biên Printing Joint Stock Company and the Điện Biên provincial Post Office, successfully delivered over 2 million copies of various election materials. To date, 3,704 ballot boxes have been prepared, accompanied by 2,175 seals, of which 2,160 were newly engraved to meet official standards.
Polling areas are currently being decorated with official rules, voting procedures, voter lists, and candidate biographies to foster a solemn atmosphere for the citizens. Nguyễn Tiến Đạt, Director of the Department of Home Affairs, noted that preparations are proceeding exactly on schedule and in strict compliance with the law. He emphasized that every phase, from announcing candidate lists and organizing voter meetings to monitoring and supervision, has been executed with great care, particularly through provincial guidance provided to the grassroots level to ensure total procedural consistency.
Beyond organizational logistics, the province has intensified its oversight through inspection teams from the provincial Election Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front, which have directly resolved local challenges to ensure synchronization. This meticulous approach has instilled a high sense of confidence among the public. Lê Thị Thơ, a voter from Điện Biên Phủ ward, expressed her appreciation for the government’s transparency, noting that candidates’ information is easily accessible and that formal meetings have allowed voters to carefully evaluate and select the most deserving representatives.
With comprehensive preparations and a deep sense of responsibility from the political system, Điện Biên stands fully ready for this significant democratic event. The urgent and disciplined atmosphere of the past few days reflects both the determination of local authorities and the high expectations of the province’s diverse ethnic groups. Every voter is empowered to select representatives who possess both virtue and talent, reflecting the will of the people and contributing to the province’s development in the upcoming term.
