A festive enlistment day in 2026

ĐBP - Joining the vibrant atmosphere of enlistment day across the country, on the morning of March 6, Điện Biên province solemnly held a ceremony to hand over youths to units for their military service in 2026.

This year, the province conducted the handover at four designated points for 1,246 citizens entering service, including 850 for military duty and 396 for the People’s Public Security force.

At the Mường Ảng commune Square, the handover ceremony was organized with solemnity and safety by the Defensive Area Command Region 4 - Mường Ảng. This location served as the province’s Handover Point No.4.

High-ranking officials in attendance included Lieutenant General Đặng Hồng Đức, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security; Trần Tiến Dũng, Member of the Party Central Committee and provincial Party Secretary; Major General Nguyễn Ngọc Ngân, Deputy Political Chief of Military Region 2; and Lò Văn Cương, Standing Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, along with leaders from various communes and the 446 recruits.

Handover Point No.4 saw the participation of 12 communes and wards, including Mường Thanh, Điện Biên Phủ, Mường Phăng, Nà Tấu, Búng Lao, Mường Ảng, Mường Lạn, Chiềng Sinh, Pú Nhung, Mường Mùn, Tuần Giáo, and Quài Tở. Within this defense area, 446 recruits were divided into 280 for military service and 166 for public security. The selection and calling process was carried out strictly and in accordance with regulations, ensuring democracy, transparency, fairness, and high quality.

During his speech, Deputy Minister Đặng Hồng Đức congratulated the new recruits on their honor of becoming soldiers of the People’s Army and the People’s Public Security.

He urged each new soldier to continue their efforts in training, cultivating their mettle and discipline, and striving to excellently complete all assigned tasks.

Furthermore, he requested that local party committees and authorities pay close attention to implementing policies for the rear-guard of both the military and public security forces, creating favorable conditions for the recruits to feel secure in their service and grow within the disciplined environment.

At the ceremony, leaders from the Ministry of Public Security and the province, along with other delegates, presented flowers and gifts to encourage the recruits before they departed for their respective units, adding to their confidence and motivation.
