Điện Biên students to conquer High School Graduation Exam

ĐBP - In response to the “70 Days of Breakthroughs - Conquering the 2025 High School Graduation Exam” plan launched by the Điện Biên provincial Department of Education and Training (DoET), high schools across the province have simultaneously started competitions with a strong determination. Teachers, administrators, students, and parents all share the spirit of supporting students in this critical period leading up to the exam, aiming to improve the quality of teaching and learning and create positive changes in the graduation exam.

For four consecutive years, Mường Ảng High School has maintained a 100% graduation rate, with many subjects achieving higher average scores than the provincial average. This is a continuous effort from both the teachers and students. However, the 2025 exam will be the first to apply the 2018 National Curriculum with numerous changes in the exam structure and approach, which poses challenges. In light of these difficulties, the school has set clear objectives and embraced the “70 Days of Breakthroughs - Conquering the 2025 High School Graduation Exam” plan.

Nguyễn Thành Chi, Principal of Mường Ảng High School, shared: “The school administration has set clear goals and developed specific measures to achieve and improve the high school graduation results in 2025. This year, we aim for a graduation rate of over 95%, an average score across subjects that meets or exceeds the provincial average, and to rank among the top 15 schools with the highest scores in the province.”

With a high determination, all teachers involved in exam preparation have developed specific teaching plans based on the needs of students, increased review time, and provided additional support for weaker students. They have also launched a campaign for active learning in each class, encouraging students to support each other under the motto “Learn together - Improve together.”

Teachers and students of Mường Ảng Ethnic Minority Boarding School signing the agreement at the launch of the “70 Days of Breakthroughs - Conquering the 2025 High School Graduation Exam” campaign.

Phạm Thị Kim Minh, a teacher at Mường Ảng High School, shared: “The role of teachers is not only to deliver knowledge but also to motivate and create opportunities for students. We also strictly address any signs of negligence in studying. Additionally, the school and teachers closely cooperate with parents and other school organizations to efficiently manage the students’ review process.”

In the spirit of the “70 Days of Breakthroughs - Conquering the 2025 High School Graduation Exam,” Mường Ảng Ethnic Minority Boarding School has implemented comprehensive solutions to achieve its goal of a 100% graduation rate, while improving the average score of the subjects compared to last year.

Nguyễn Văn Tập, Principal of Mường Ảng Ethnic Minority Boarding School, said: “To implement this plan effectively, the school has launched the ‘Good Teaching - Good Learning’ movement along with a specific review program for each grade and subject. He emphasized the importance of creating a positive, disciplined, and united learning environment to help students gain more confidence during their preparation.”

Currently, 100% of teachers, staff, and school officials have been assigned specific tasks for review, and communication with students and parents has been carried out, with particular attention to supporting students from disadvantaged backgrounds. The school has also proactively identified and rewarded outstanding students and effective learning models to expand them. The “School helps School,” “Subject helps Subject” models within professional clusters have also become a highlight in preparing for the exam.

The province currently has more than 6,800 grade 12 students entering the final stretch of their high school graduation preparation. The DoET’s directive to launch a unified movement across all schools has created a lively and determined atmosphere throughout the sector.

Cù Huy Hoàn, Deputy Director of the DoET, confirmed: “This activity is crucial in motivating students to study, encouraging a spirit of innovation in teaching, and raising the responsibility of teachers during this critical period. Schools have organized launch ceremonies and signed commitment agreements, showing their highest determination to perform well in the exam this year.”

The “70 Days of Breakthroughs - Conquering the 2025 High School Graduation Exam” plan is aimed at encouraging spirit and affirming the key role of thorough preparation in studying. Strengthening the competition to implement the plan has created a foundation to help students build confidence, discipline, and resilience; while also reflecting the strong consensus between the school, family, and community in preparing the younger generation for a successful future.
