Via a variety of specific and practical activities, the lifelong learning movement expanded strongly and spread deeply within the community. Recognizing that building a learning society was a vital and consistent task in the strategy for human development and the improvement of public knowledge, the various levels of the provincial Study Promotion Association concentrated on implementing solutions to foster this spirit.
Nguyễn Mạnh Quân, Vice Chairman of the provincial Study Promotion Association, shared that to raise community awareness about the role of education, the association stepped up its propagation efforts. These efforts focused on the Party and State’s policies regarding study promotion, the immense significance of learning, and the celebration of exemplary individuals and groups who served as bright examples within the movement. The association also coordinated with various agencies to launch collaborative activities, such as working with the Department of Education and Training to oversee school-based initiatives and signing a partnership with the provincial Labor Union to promote lifelong learning among workers for the 2024-2030 period.
In Thanh Yên commune, the local association mobilized officials and residents to actively engage in learning through all available methods to improve their personal understanding and professional performance. The commune focused on mobilizing resources and coordinating with individuals to push the lifelong learning movement forward while maintaining and expanding effective learning models. By the end of 2025, Thanh Yên boasted 2,634 certified learning families, six learning lineages, and ten learning units, with the rate of learning citizens surpassing 68%. This grassroots success reflected a broader provincial trend where effective models like “Learning Families” and “Learning Lineages” attracted widespread participation.
Provincially, the statistics for 2025 were equally impressive, with 104,498 families registering as learning families and 1,270 villages or neighborhoods committing to becoming learning communities. The “Learning Citizen” model achieved particularly encouraging results, as the public perception of lifelong learning evolved; it was no longer seen as a school-based requirement but as an intrinsic personal need. This was evident in the group of civil servants and students, where the registration rate to become learning citizens exceeded 98%.
Another highlight was the continued effectiveness of the study and talent promotion funds. In 2025, the association awarded nearly 1,040 scholarships totaling VND 519 million to students in difficult circumstances and provided tens of millions of VND in rewards for those with high academic achievements. Additionally, nearly VND 110 million went toward supporting teachers and workers in the education sector who faced hardships. When including other funding sources, the total support surpassed VND 800 million, providing a meaningful source of encouragement that helped students overcome obstacles and contributed to the overall improvement of regional education quality.
