With a series of experiential activities, creative competitions, and expert sharing sessions, the AI Festival has played an important role in raising awareness about AI and igniting a passion for exploring new technologies among young AI enthusiasts. Attending the event, Đàm Khánh Ly, a 10-grade student in the specialized Informatics class at Lê Quý Đôn Gifted High School, expressed her curiosity and excitement. Experiencing AI applications firsthand for the first time, Khánh Ly was impressed by intelligent robot models and interactive technology games.

“Participating in the festival, I was truly amazed by the many advanced technologies and new techniques I encountered. The most exciting part was getting to try AI tools directly and interact with experts and friends who share the same passion. I feel like the world of technology is opening up right before my eyes,” shared Ly. When asked about applying AI in her studies, said: “Currently, I often use AI tools like ChatGPT to support researching documents, summarizing texts, or practicing problem-solving. I also use Canva to design posters and presentation slides for group projects. These tools save me time and make learning much more creative and engaging.”
Similarly, Hoàng Quốc Huy, a student at Thanh Chăn Secondary School (Điện Biên district), actively explored AI technology at the AI Festival. With a passion for technology since childhood, Huy sees AI as a bridge helping students access knowledge in new, flexible, and creative ways. He held: “AI is not just theory; it is truly changing how we learn every day. I often use AI tools to experiment with programming and create mind maps... Through this event, I realize more clearly the importance of proactively learning and researching to apply AI in both study and life. I believe that, if used properly, AI will become a powerful companion for our generation.”

Not only students, but teachers in Điện Biên also show an open-minded spirit and actively embrace new technologies. Nguyễn Thị Thúy Hằng, a Chemistry teacher at Lê Quý Đôn Gifted High School, underlined: “Participating in this AI Festival, I have learned many valuable things. In teaching, I often use ChatGPT to consult lesson content, find practical examples, and propose activities for students. Especially, I have applied AI-suggested video links to illustrate chemistry experiments, helping students visualize and better grasp the knowledge. I also use music composition software or lyric creation tools to support memorizing chemistry concepts, a very creative way for students to learn without feeling bored. From lesson introduction to knowledge consolidation, students can actively and happily participate.”
As the direct organizer of the event, Trần Tố Uyên, National Director of STEAM for Vietnam, shared: “We hope that through this event, the application of AI in real teaching and learning will spread even stronger. AI not only helps teachers save time designing lessons but also allows personalized learning processes for each student, from creating suitable test questions to supporting weaker students to improve faster.” According to Uyên, AI will not replace teachers but become a useful “assistant” accompanying them in the educational innovation journey.
Beyond experiential activities, the AI Festival in Điện Biên symbolizes the province’s strong political determination to make modern technology one of the driving forces for educational innovation, economic development, and improving people’s quality of life. Speaking at the event, Chairman of the Điện Biên provincial People’s Committee Lê Thành Đô affirmed: “Right here on this land that once witnessed the legendary victory ‘shining across five continents and shaking the world,’ today we begin a new ‘major battle’ in the digital era. On behalf of the provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, and People’s Committee, I proudly announce the launch of the ‘Điện Biên Phủ AI Coverage Campaign’ across the entire province…”

From the practical perspective at the event, it is clear that AI is creating profound changes in education and social awareness. Students gain access to modern learning tools, develop critical thinking and creativity. Teachers are supported by new technological platforms, reducing lesson preparation pressure and increasing teaching efficiency. The community is more strongly connected through a spirit of continuous learning and knowledge sharing. Based on this reality, the province will continue to implement training programs to enhance digital skills for teachers, students, and residents. The goal is that by 2026, 100% of the adult population will have basic digital knowledge, ready to actively participate in the digital economy.
The AI Festival in Điện Biên is not just a technology event; it is a declaration that even in remote, mountainous areas with many limitations, learning and development opportunities for young people remain wide open with support from authorities, schools, and society. In the digital era, the creative space is unlimited, and Điện Biên is courageously taking the first steps to hand the younger generation the keys to the future.
