There are differences in the number of subjects and exam sessions between the two groups of candidates. Candidates from the 2018 National General Education Program will have 3 exam sessions: Vietnamese, Mathematics, and one elective subject consisting of two subjects from their curriculum. Candidates from the 2006 National General Education Program will have 4 exam sessions: Vietnamese, Mathematics, Foreign Languages, and one elective subject (Natural Science or Social Science). The timing for the elective session and breaks between sessions differ for the two programs. Therefore, exam proctors have reminded candidates to pay attention to the schedule, exam duration, and related details.

To ensure convenience for the candidates, high schools in the province whose students are assigned to other exam centers have developed appropriate plans based on the local situation. Most schools are providing transportation to ensure timely arrival for all exam sessions. Some schools with boarding facilities have accommodated students, providing meals and focused review sessions. Various organizations and agencies are assisting with students’ meals during the exam period to ensure that students are at ease. This effort aims to minimize the barriers related to transportation, weather, or finances that could prevent candidates from attending the exam.
