1,000 trees planted at historic sites in Điện Biên

ĐBP - The Hà Nội-based Vietravel Company, in collaboration with the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Điện Biên Province, launched the Vietravel Green 2024 Project - Greening the Future in the historic region of Điện Biên.

As part of the programme, Vietravel initiated the planting of 1,000 trees at various historical sites within the Điện Biên Phủ Battlefield Complex, including Hill A1, Docat Tunnel, and the Him Lam Resistance Centre.

Predominantly featuring Ban flowers, these trees are set to enhance the aesthetic appeal of these significant sites, showcasing the distinctive flora of the northwestern region.

The project will be carried out in two phases, aiming to complete the planting of 1,000 trees by the end of this year.

This initiative by Vietravel is in commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the Điện Biên Phủ Victory and the National Tourism Year - Điện Biên, fostering efforts in environmental conservation, historical preservation, landscape enhancement, and tourism promotion.
