ĐBP - Fifty years after the reunification of the North and South, the entire nation is now living in peace and independence. The country continues to develop, but the pain and losses caused by the war cannot be replaced or expressed in words. With all sincerity and gratitude, the political system has been implementing policies to support the military’s rear, helping to ensure a more stable life for revolutionary soldiers.

ĐBP -  Enhancing the leadership capacity, combativeness, and exemplary pioneering role of Party organizations and members is among the practical and effective measures being implemented by the Nậm Pồ district’s Party Committee to strengthen the Party’s leadership in the fight against corruption and misconduct.

ĐBP - During the years of the resistance war against the U.S., thousands of young people from Điện Biên province volunteered to join the military, dedicating their youth to the cause of national liberation. Leaving behind their families and hometowns, they left footprints across battlefields riddled with bombs and hardship, contributing to the historic victory in the Spring of 1975, which reunified the country.

ĐBP - Alongside the press community nationwide, in recent years, the Điện Biên provincial Journalists’ Association has continuously innovated its activities and approaches, enhanced its professional work, and met the needs and developments of journalism during the period of renewal. In particular, the association has united its members and contributed to successfully implementing the province’s political tasks, making the organization a “common roof” for journalists.

ĐBP - In line with the policy of streamlining the political and administrative apparatus, Mường Chà district, Điện Biên province has demonstrated strong determination and broad consensus throughout the implementation process.

ĐBP - Half a century has passed, yet the memories of those heroic days remain vividly intact in the minds of veterans of Điện Biên province. For these former soldiers, it is a profound source of pride, an indelible mark in their journey of defending and liberating the nation, unifying the country.

ĐBP - According to the roadmap for reorganizing the administrative units at the commune level in Điện Biên province, by April 30, the provincial Department of Home Affairs - the agency responsible for drafting the proposal for streamlining - will complete the dossier and make proposal to the provincial People’s Committee to submit it to the Government.

ĐBP - On the morning of April 19, at the Điện Biên provincial Conference and Cultural Center, the provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Điện Biên province held a solemn meeting to mark the 50th anniversary of the Southern Liberation and National Unification Day (April 30, 1975 - 2025).

ĐBP - In response to the nationwide merger of provinces and cities, the dissolution of district-level administrative units across the country by July 1, 2025, and the restructuring of commune-level administrative units, the Party Central Committee has approved these historical decisions during its 11th Plenary Session of the 13th Party Congress.

ĐBP - In the historical month of April, as the entire country focuses on the South - the place that marks the bright victory of the nation in the Spring of 1975, we met with soldiers who contributed to the glorious victory. These war veterans, now living humbly in the heroic land of Điện Biên province, shared their stories.

ĐBP - On the afternoon of April 16, the National Assembly (NA) delegation of Điện Biên province, including Lò Thị Luyến, Deputy Head of the provincial delegation and Major General Tráng A Tủa, Director of the Department for the Movement of National Security Protection under the Ministry of Public Security, held a meeting with voters in Nậm Pồ District ahead of the 9th session of the 15th NA.

ĐBP - April 30, 1975 marked a shining milestone, signifying the end of the resistance war against the U.S. and opening a new page in Vietnam’s modern history - an era of peace and national reunification. 50 years have passed, yet every time this historical event is commemorated, every patriotic Vietnamese, including the young generation, shares the same spirit, emotions, and pride in the glorious and heroic victory of the nation.

ĐBP - The 21-year-long national resistance war against the US invaders was marked by fierce battles and sacrifices that cannot be counted. The Trường Sơn Road connecting the North and South carried convoys of people and vehicles from the North to the South, fighting on various battlefronts. To have the peace we enjoy today, the forefathers did not hesitate to sacrifice their blood and lives to gain independence and freedom for the country.

ĐBP -  As part of the “return-to-the-root” journey in Hồ Chí Minh City, on April 14, a delegation from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and mass organizations of Điện Biên province, in coordination with the Party Committee of Thủ Đức city of Hồ Chí Minh City, held a meaningful event to mark the 50th anniversary of South Liberation and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 -  2025).

ĐBP - At present, the Party Committee of the Điện Biên provincial Department of Health is actively preparing for its 12th Congress for the 2025-2030 term, which is scheduled to take place at the end of May.

ĐBP - The policy to rearrange district and commune-level administrative units, as outlined in conclusions and resolutions from the Central Party Committee, is being actively implemented by Điện Biên province with high political determination.

ĐBP -  On the afternoon of April 10, comrade Lê Thành Đô, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Committee of Điện Biên province, chaired a meeting of the Steering Committee for Public Administration Reform (PAR), Digital Transformation, and the National Population Data Project (Project 06 in short) for the period 2022 - 2025, with a vision to 2030.

ĐBP - In recent years, Party members at Party cells and committees in Mường Ảng district, Điện Biên province have actively promoted their role, responsibility, and exemplary behavior in national patriotic movements, contributing to the development of their families and communities. This is a key factor in strengthening and enhancing the combat capacity of grassroots-level Party organizations.

ĐBP - The Party Congress of the Điện Biên provincial Department of Home Affairs for the 2025 - 2030 term is scheduled for late May 2025. To ensure its success, the department’s Party Committee has been closely directing all subordinate Party cells to complete their respective congresses and finalize preparations.

ĐBP - In line with the nationwide push to streamline and reorganize the administrative apparatus, Điện Biên province and other localities will soon undergo major changes.
