ĐBP - On October 26, comrade Nguyễn Văn Thắng, Member of the Party Central Committee and Minister of Finance, along with a working delegation, met with Điện Biên province regarding the situation of business production, public investment, import-export, infrastructure construction, social housing, national target programs, and the implementation of the two-level local government model.

ĐBP - Implementing Resolution No. 21-NQ/TW dated June 16, 2022, of the Party Central Committee on “Strengthening and building grassroots-level Party organizations and improving the quality of the contingent of Party members in the new period,” Party committees at all levels in Điện Biên province have been widely implementing the “4-Good Party Cell” model.

ĐBP - On October 23, the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee inspected the implementation progress of the Nậm Rốm River Basin Multi-Disaster Management Project, which aims to protect people’s livelihoods, adapt to climate change, and promote the socio-economic development of Điện Biên province.

ĐBP - The year of 2026 is the first year of implementing the selection and calling of citizens for enlistment under the two-level local government model. With tasks from the district level being transferred to the commune level and partly to the provincial level, the selection and calling of citizens for enlistment will therefore have many new aspects.

ĐBP - Following directives from the Ministry of Public Security to strengthen alcohol checks and enforce laws on the prevention of alcohol-related harm, traffic safety, and the Government’s Decree 168, as well as to reduce traffic accidents linked to alcohol, the Điện Biên provincial Police launched a province-wide alcohol control campaign on October 18, 2025.

ĐBP - In recent times, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in Điện Biên province have actively communicated and mobilized, improved the quality and effectiveness of social supervision and criticism, and implemented democracy. They have also coordinated the organization of voter meetings and gathered public opinion. Through these efforts, the Fatherland Front has promoted its role in participating in the building of a clean and strong Party and government, creating consensus among the people.

ĐBP - On the afternoon of October 21, the Điện Biên provincial People’s Committee held a conference to announce and present the Decisions on the secondment of civil servants and public employees to work at the People’s Committees of communes and wards in the province.

ĐBP - Along with the rest of the country, from July 1, 2025, Điện Biên province completed the implementation of the two-level local government model, consolidating communes and towns to streamline the apparatus and improve management effectiveness and efficiency.

ĐBP - In recent times, all levels of the Điện Biên provincial Women’s Union have been strongly promoting their core role in gathering and mobilizing women to participate in emulation movements. Comrade Trần Tiến Dũng, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term, was elected to the position of Secretary of the provincial Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term.
