The Lao delegation was headed by Somchin Thepphachan, Member of the provincial Party Committee and President of the Luang Prabang provincial Trade Union Federation.

Mùa A Vảng, Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Việt Nam, Deputy Secretary of the Điện Biên provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Việt Nam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, presided over the reception.

During the courtesy meeting, Mùa A Vảng warmly welcomed the delegation of the Trade Union Federations of the northern Lao provinces on their working visit to Điện Biên province.

He emphasized that over the past period, external affairs activities along with exchanges, ties, and coordination between the trade union organization of Điện Biên province and those of the northern Lao provinces have achieved numerous substantive outcomes, helping consolidate and cultivate the traditional friendship and cooperation between the two sides.

Mùa A Vảng expressed his hope that moving forward, the Điện Biên provincial Confederation of Labor and the Trade Union Federations of the northern Lao provinces will continue stepping up exchanges, contacts, and experience sharing in trade union operations, while organizing practical activities that look after the welfare of union members and laborers and stimulate socio-economic development.

Expressing gratitude for the solemn reception extended by the leadership of Điện Biên province, Somchin Thepphachan expressed gratification over the cooperative achievements between both sides and affirmed that the traditional friendship linking Điện Biên and the northern Lao provinces has grown increasingly close-knit.

He proposed that in the coming time, both sides continue strengthening exchanges, ties, and joint organization of trade union activities, contributing to further tightening solidarity, friendship, and multifaceted cooperation between Điện Biên and the northern Lao provinces.
