Secretary of Điện Biên Provincial Party Committee visits units on duty during Tết

ĐBP - On the afternoon of January 28 (the 29th day of the last lunar month), Mr. Trần Quốc Cường, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Điện Biên Provincial Party Committee, visited, encouraged, and extended greetings to several armed forces and healthcare units on duty during the 2025 Lunar New Year (Tết) holiday.

At the Thanh Nưa Commune Police (Điện Biên District), Secretary Trần Quốc Cường listened to a brief report on the security situation in 2024 and their plans for ensuring social order and public safety during the peak period of the traditional holiday.

Commending the achievements of the Thanh Nưa Commune Police, he urged the unit to proactively implement measures to prevent and combat crimes, minimizing social vices in the area. He extended his best wishes to the officers and soldiers of the Thanh Nưa Commune Police, encouraging them to successfully fulfill their duties, ensuring a safe and peaceful holiday for the community.

After receiving a summary report from the Điện Biên Phủ City Police on their operations in 2024, Secretary Trần Quốc Cường shared words of encouragement with local police personnel, particularly amid the upcoming restructuring that will eliminate district-level police forces to enhance efficiency. Acknowledging the challenges and concerns faced by police personnel, he encouraged them to maintain a high spirit of commitment, uphold their achievements, and complete their assigned tasks. He emphasized the principle of “staying awake so that people can sleep well,” ensuring the community enjoys a secure and joyful Tết. On behalf of the provincial leadership, he extended wishes for health, happiness, and success to all officers and soldiers of the Điện Biên Phủ City Police in the Lunar New Year.

He conveyed gratitude on behalf of the provincial leadership and the public for their dedication. He encouraged the detention center staff to continue their excellent work and to facilitate a humane and well-organized Tết celebration for the detainees. Additionally, he also conveyed his best wishes to the detainees, encouraging them to have a peaceful and healthy Lunar New Year while abiding by the detention center’s regulations.

Later that afternoon, Secretary Trần Quốc Cường visited the Điện Biên Provincial General Hospital, where he extended his Tết greetings to the medical staff on duty. After a briefing from the hospital leadership on their preparedness for Tết, he wished the doctors and healthcare workers a healthy, warm, and joyful Lunar New Year. He expressed hope that emergency cases before, during, and after the holiday would be minimal and that all patients under treatment would recover without complications, reducing the burden on both medical staff and patients’ families.
