Điện Biên’s education sector towards Party congresses

ĐBP - In preparation for the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term, the education and training sector of Điện Biên province is actively implementing many vibrant and practical emulation movements. These activities not only create a joyful atmosphere across the sector but also contribute to improving educational quality and building a positive, disciplined, and friendly learning environment.

In response to the emulation movements towards the Party congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term, the provincial Ethnic Boarding High School has developed specific plans linked to movements such as: “Every teacher is a moral example of self-study and creativity,” “Application of information technology in teaching,” and “Improving comprehensive education quality.” Thanks to these efforts, in the first semester, over 80% of students achieved good or excellent academic results; more than 280 students won provincial excellent student awards; 100% of teachers were rated good or excellent, with nearly 40% recognized as provincial excellent teachers.

Vũ Trung Hoàn, Principal of Provincial Ethnic Boarding High School, said: “Right from the beginning of the school year, to implement the emulation movement, the school has built and synchronously deployed plans to all teachers and students. For example, in the ‘Good teaching - Good learning’ movement, we directed teachers and professional groups to improve their expertise. Moreover, this year is the first year to take exams according to the 2018 General Education Program with exam structures guided by the Ministry of Education and Training. The school organized three mock exams for grade 12 students following the Ministry’s sample tests to evaluate and analyze student abilities. Particularly, teachers have effectively used AI technology in teaching, contributing to raising teaching and learning quality.”

Teachers and students at Điện Biên provincial Ethnic Boarding High School actively participate in the “Good teaching - Good learning” emulation movement.

Responding to the emulation movement towards the Party congresses for the 2025-2030 term, from early 2025, the provincial education and training sector launched a high-intensity emulation campaign. This focuses on propaganda and raising awareness about the importance of the Party congresses, stirring patriotism and national pride; organizing major movements initiated by the Government, ministries, central agencies, and the province; building and expanding exemplary models in educational reform; and striving to complete preparations for establishing the branch of Thái Nguyên University in the province to provide ethnic minority students and disadvantaged groups with better educational opportunities, thereby enhancing the province’s educational quality.

To create a vibrant emulation atmosphere, the provincial Department of Education and Training has launched a campaign themed: “Discipline, responsibility; innovation, creativity; streamlining, efficiency; acceleration, breakthrough,” aiming to decisively complete and surpass the targets and tasks for 2021-2025, and celebrate the Party congresses at all levels for 2025-2030. The emulation focuses on innovating teaching methods, educating ethics and life skills, and promoting digital transformation in education. By the end of the first semester of the 2024-2025 school year, the entire sector comprises 482 schools and centers with over 200,000 students and learners. The enrollment rates at all levels remain high, with nearly 100% of communes and districts meeting standards for universal primary and lower secondary education.

Hoàng Tuyết Ban, Director of the provincial Department of Education and Training, said: “The emulation movement towards the Party Congresses for the 2025-2030 term has been enthusiastically welcomed by schools, management teams, and teachers. Immediately after launching the movement, schools built specific plans linked to individual responsibilities. The teaching staff actively compete in good teaching and learning, seeking new methods and taking good care of students, especially those in boarding programs.”

With this lively emulation spirit, the provincial education and training sector is striving to achieve many practical achievements to celebrate the Party Congresses at all levels and make an important contribution to the province’s educational development in the new period.
