The conference was chaired by Trần Quốc Cường, Member of the Central Party Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee.
During the first nine months of this year, the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, and the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negative Phenomena have actively implemented and adhered to Party resolutions, directives, and conclusions, as well as state laws and relevant regulations, to lead and direct anti-corruption efforts across the province.
There has been a significant rise in awareness and a sense of responsibility regarding anti-corruption among officials, Party members, and citizens, particularly leaders of agencies and organisations. Emphasis has been placed on regular leadership, strict adherence to anti-corruption laws, and the promotion of thrift and anti-waste practices. Efforts have also been directed towards enhancing transparency, accelerating administrative reforms, and ensuring that the declaration of assets and incomes is carried out publicly and in line with regulations.
Positive developments have been observed in inspection, oversight, investigation, prosecution, and judicial activities, leading to timely detection, prevention, and handling of violations. Several cases of corruption and negative acts have been uncovered, resulting in strict prosecution and comprehensive recovery of lost state assets. These efforts have contributed to strengthening the trust of officials, Party members, and the general public.
To enhance the effectiveness of anti-corruption efforts in the future, the Provincial Steering Committee has outlined several key tasks and solutions. These include the continued implementation of the Party's policies and state laws on anti-corruption and negative acts.
The committee aims to raise public awareness through communication and education on anti-corruption, fostering a culture of integrity among officials, Party members, and the public. Efforts will also be directed towards addressing passivity, avoidance of responsibility, and fear of making mistakes within a segment of officials and Party members.
The committee will lead efforts to verify, investigate, prosecute, and trial corruption and serious economic cases that are of public concern. It will also enhance the leadership and close supervision of Party committees and authorities at all levels, leveraging the collective strength of the political system.
Additionally, there will be a focus on improving citizen reception and the resolution of complaints and denunciations.
