Mường Ảng opens an OCOP centre

ĐBP - A centre promoting and selling OCOP products has been opened in Mường Ảng District, Điện Biên Province.

Participarting in the inauguration ceremony on May 23 was Trần Quốc Cường, secretary of the provincial Party Committee; Lê Thành Đô, deputy secretary of the provincial Party Committee cum Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee; and Giàng Thị Hoa, deputy chairwoman of the People’s Council.

Covering an area of 120sq.m, the OCOP product introduction and sales centre has steel frame structure, brick walls and tempered glass walls. Auxiliary items include fixed display shelves combined with decorative lights for canned products and fruits; and mobile display shelves for fresh products (fish tanks, poultry cages)...

Located in the Mường Ảng Town’s centre market, the project has a total investment of VNĐ1.5 billion from the capital of the national target programme to build new rural areas in the 2021-25 period.

Provincial Party Secretary Trần Quốc Cường presents gifts to enterprises and cooperatives which have OCOP products in Mường Ảng District.

The launch of OCOP centre is aimed at promoting and selling quality products and signature and local specialties; enhancing the internal strength of production and business entablishments; improving the value of agricultural products; generating stable income for people; and promoting socio-economic development in the locality. At the same time, it is a reputable place to serve people and tourists to Mường Ảng District with quality guaranteed products.

Up to now, the Mường Ảng District has had 10 OCOP products including two products rated ‘4 stars’ (Hà Chung filter coffee and Phan Nhất organic green tea) and eight products rated ‘3 stars’.
