This marked the 17th consecutive year that Điện Biên Power Company has organized the campaign in the province.

With the message “Switch to a Green Future,” the campaign encourages the community to take action in saving electricity, protecting the environment, and raising awareness about climate change.

During the 2025 Earth Hour campaign, residents, businesses, restaurants, and hotels across the province actively responded by turning off unnecessary lighting such as street lights, billboards, decorative lights, and other lighting devices.

According to statistics, the total electricity savings across the province in the first two months of 2025 reached 1,666,307kWh, achieving a saving rate of 2.9%. This is an important milestone, reflecting a noticeable shift in the community's electricity usage habits and a strong sense of responsibility toward environmental protection.

Trần Đức Dũng, Director of the Điện Biên Power Company, stated that the company calls on all citizens to continue taking action and maintaining electricity-saving habits not only during Earth Hour campaign but throughout the entire year.

“For a green and sustainable future for generations to come, every small action and decision to save electricity today will make a significant contribution to building a sustainable, healthy, and green future for ourselves and future generations,” he added.
