Within the framework of this visit, under the witness of Trần Cẩm Tú and Vilay Lakhamphong, Standing Member of the Secretariat of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, Trần Tiến Dũng and Khamking Phuilamanivong, Provincial Party Secretary of Luang Namtha, exchanged a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for cooperation between the two provinces for the 2026 - 2029 period.

During the diplomatic mission, Trần Tiến Dũng and the delegation held significant meetings with Thongloun Sisoulith, General Secretary and President of Laos, as well as Lao Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone.

They also participated in talks with Vilay Lakhamphong, who is a member of the Politburo and Standing Member of the Secretariat of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party Central Committee. Later that afternoon, the delegation visited and met with officials from the Vietnamese Embassy and members of the Vietnamese community residing in Laos to foster connection and support for overseas citizens.
