More than 600 classroom floor mats, 200 warm blankets, and 800 gift sets consisting of hats, warm coats, and socks were gifts presented by officers and soldiers of the Nậm Nhừ Border Post to students in difficult circumstances at Nà Khoa Kindergarten and Nậm Nhừ Kindergarten, Nà Hỳ commune. Although these gifts are not large in material value, they are meaningful because they meet the actual needs of highland school sites, where children’s learning conditions are still lacking, especially during the cold winter.
Floor mats help make classrooms warmer, while blankets and warm coats protect the children’s health, limiting absences due to cold weather. More importantly, this timely attention and sharing have added motivation for students and families to feel secure in their attachment to schools and teachers.
Major Thào A Sình, Deputy Political Officer of the Nậm Nhừ Border Post, shared that grasping the reality of the lives and learning conditions of students in the area, the Station’s Youth Union proactively connected with benefactors and coordinated with the commune authorities to select gifts suitable for actual needs. Through the gifts presented, they hope to make a small contribution to helping students have better learning conditions and peace of mind when going to school, while simultaneously strengthening the attachment and solidarity between the border guard force and the people in the border area.
For students at the Nôm, Hua Chăn, and Phang hamlet school sites of Bình Minh Kindergarten, December 25, 2025, may be an unforgettable memory. Besides essential gifts, the children also enjoyed fried chicken meals prepared by the volunteer group. For many highland children, this was the first time eating a dish that seems very familiar in the lowlands. The eager eyes and radiant smiles when holding hot pieces of chicken made the atmosphere of the gift-giving ceremony warmer and closer than ever.
Not merely a meal, that attention also carried deep spiritual meaning, helping the children feel the love and sharing from the community. For children in difficult areas, such simple experiences become motivation and beautiful memories nurturing dreams and faith in life.
A representative of Tùng Bách Real Estate Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company stated that the program was implemented with the desire to contribute to improving learning and living conditions for preschool students at school sites that still lack many things. Supporting the roofing of the schoolyard and building fences to protect the campus not only creates a safer and more spacious learning space but also demonstrates the long-term companionship of enterprises and benefactors with the cause of highland education.
With the theme “Warming Búng Lao,” at the program, Tùng Bách Real Estate Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company and benefactors sponsored the roofing of the schoolyard and the construction of fences surrounding the campuses of the two school sites in Nôm and Hua Chăn hamlets with a total cost of nearly VND 100 million. In addition, 55 gifts, each worth VND 1 million, were awarded to students with especially difficult circumstances at Bình Minh Kindergarten; nearly 200 gifts including warm coats, milk, instant noodles, and confectionery were also sent to students at Nôm, Hua Chăn, and Phang hamlet school sites.
Each gift given and each joint effort of organizations, individuals, and enterprises contributes another brick to building trust and hope for circumstances that still face many difficulties. Also in the last days of the year, when the Lunar New Year atmosphere is approaching, that spirit of sharing continues to spread through activities of visiting and encouraging women and children in difficult circumstances in the province.
On the occasion of the 2026 Lunar New Year, on December 29-30, 2025, Vice President of the Vietnam Women’s Union Trần Lan Phương and the working delegation coordinated with sponsors to organize a series of activities to visit and give Tết gifts in 3 communes: Mường Pồn, Mường Phăng, and Mường Ảng. In particular, they provided support to build a “Compassionate Home” for a poor female member in especially difficult circumstances, Vàng Thị Lá, in Huổi Meo village, Mường Pồn commune.
Receiving support from the working delegation and benefactors, Vàng Thị Lá emotionally shared that she had lived alone for many years in a dilapidated house, fearing it would collapse whenever there was rain and wind. Being cared for and supported by authorities and benefactors to build a new house, she was very happy and did not know what to say other than thank you. Having a solid roof, she feels more secure to live and welcome a warm and peaceful Tết.
Like Vàng Thị Lá, poor women and children in difficult circumstances were also happy to receive attention and encouragement through sentimental Tết gifts presented by the Central Vietnam Women’s Union and sponsors. Sharing at each gift-giving destination, Vice President of the Vietnam Women’s Union Trần Lan Phương emphasized that Tết is a time for reunion, and organizing visiting and gift-giving activities demonstrates the concern of the Union and sponsors for women and children in difficult circumstances. The Vice President of the Central Vietnam Women’s Union hoped that the Tết gifts would contribute to encouraging spirits, helping women and families welcome a warmer and fuller Tết, adding faith and motivation to rise up in life.
The Tết gifts and houses built from sharing have contributed to soothing difficulties and warming hearts in the highland areas that still lack many things. As spring approaches very closely, compassionate hearts continue to spread, bringing faith and hope so that the poor and children in difficult circumstances can step forward more firmly and welcome Tết in the warmth and sentiment of the community.
