Accompanying and sharing with the people, every year, levels, sectors, and socio-political organizations inside and outside the province always accompany, call for, mobilize, and donate thousands of gifts, supporting tens of billions of VND to help the poor in many different forms.
Identifying caring for Tết for union members and workers as one of the key tasks, early last November, the provincial Confederation of Labor issued a plan to organize activities to care for the 2026 Tết holiday with the theme “Reunion Tết - Spring of Gratitude to the Party.” Accordingly, the provincial Confederation of Labor will organize delegations to visit and give Tết gifts to union members and workers at agencies, units, and enterprises in the area, prioritizing remote and isolated areas, and heavy, toxic industries. The maximum care level is VND 1 million/gift.
Along with gift-giving activities, the provincial Confederation of Labor also supports 100 bus tickets for union members and workers to return home for Tết and return to work after the holiday. At the same time, deploying the “Trade Union Tết Market - Spring 2026” Program organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. According to the allocation, the provincial Confederation of Labor is supported with 1,040 slots, including 1,000 union members and 40 trade union officers directly participating in support. Each slot is worth VND 500,000, granted via electronic shopping vouchers (e-vouchers) helping union members proactively choose and buy goods and essential necessities.
Tẩn Minh Long, Vice Chairman of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the provincial Confederation of Labor, said: With the motto: “All union members and workers have Tết, enjoy Tết,” care activities are deployed diversely, strongly directed to the grassroots, focusing on union members and workers directly involved in production; in which priority is given to cases with difficult circumstances, affected by natural disasters, suffering from critical diseases, labor accidents, lost or reduced jobs, low income, and those who have not had the conditions to return home for Tết for many years.
Along with the trade union organization, party committees and authorities of localities in the province soon issued plans to care for Tết for the people with a spirit of proactiveness and closeness to reality. Social security policies are implemented fully and timely; the review of poor households, near-poor households, policy families, people with meritorious services, lonely elderly people, and children with special circumstances is carried out strictly and for the right subjects.
In Nậm Nèn commune, Tết care work is deployed synchronously from the commune to the villages. The commune proactively mobilized resources, coordinating with the Fatherland Front, mass organizations, and benefactors to give Tết gifts to difficult families and poor students overcoming difficulties ensuring every citizen receives attention during Tết. Recently, the commune coordinated with the Judicial Academy to give many gifts to students of schools: Nậm Nèn Ethnic Boarding Primary School, Huổi Mí Ethnic Boarding Primary School, Nậm Nèn Kindergarten, Huổi Mí Kindergarten. The gifts included National flags, water purifiers, backpacks, notebooks, comic books, legal books and newspapers, clothes, blankets, mosquito nets, along with many school supplies and essential living items, contributing to encouraging teachers and students of schools to feel assured in teaching and learning in the days leading up to Tết.
Phạm Thế Kiên, Vice Chairman of the Nậm Nèn commune People’s Committee, said that caring for Tết for the people is an important political task. The local Party Committee and People’s Committee directed a careful review of difficult subjects, coordinating with forces to organize visits and give gifts in a timely manner, helping people feel assured to celebrate Tết and excitedly enter the new year with a new atmosphere.
Besides the attention of the Party and State, the spirit of mutual affection and love continues to spread deeply in the community. Many agencies, units, enterprises, religious organizations, and individuals inside and outside the province have actively participated in social security activities, joining hands to care for Tết for the poor and people with difficult circumstances. For example, on December 15, Military Hospital 354 under the General Department of Logistics and Technical Affairs organized an inauguration ceremony and handed over 2 great solidarity houses to the families of Lò Văn Chứ and Giàng Văn Vinh, residing in Cha Cuông village, Búng Lao commune. Each house is worth VND 80 million.
Emotional on the day of receiving the new home, Lò Văn Chứ shared: “My family was very difficult before, the house was temporary, worrying every time it rained or was windy. Receiving attention and support from Military Hospital 354 to build a new house, this Tết my family has a spacious, warm place to live. We are very grateful and will try to work, develop the economy, and stabilize our lives...”
As for Giàng Văn Vinh, the new house handed over right before the new year carries special meaning. From living in a temporary house, being anxious every time it rained or was windy, now his family has a stable, solid place to live. Vinh said the timely attention and support of Military Hospital 354 help the family live with peace of mind and alleviate immediate difficulties. And even more special, having a new home in the days leading up to Tết, his family is even more excited and confident in a flourishing new year.
With the motto “Leave no one behind,” together with all levels and sectors, the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee has been promoting the core role in gathering and connecting social resources, coordinating with member organizations to implement many practical care activities for the poor and vulnerable people. Through movements, campaigns, and social security programs, the Fatherland Front at all levels provides timely support regarding housing, livelihoods, production materials, and scientific and technical transfer, contributing to helping people step by step stabilize their lives. Currently, the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee is also building a plan to care for Tết for the people, ensuring every citizen, especially households with difficult circumstances, receives attention and sharing on the occasion of Tết arrival and spring return.
