Meanwhile, in the computer room, online job transaction sessions are connected, with screens displaying the recruitment needs and requirements of businesses both within and outside the province, allowing workers to engage in remote discussions and interviews.
Vũ Thị Hường from Thanh Chung village, Thanh Nưa commune, is one of the workers seeking stable employment that matches her capabilities. She shared that she visited the center to receive consultation and find a job that fits her family circumstances, and through this process, she was introduced to numerous positions that broadened her options. These consultation and job introduction sessions have been vital, as many workers in the province have successfully secured steady positions over time. Lò Thị Thủy, who now works in reception and housekeeping at Him Lam Resort under Construction and Trade Company No.6, noted that after facing initial difficulties in her job search, the center’s guidance helped her find a fulfilling role with a stable income.
The provincial Employment Service Center plays a core role in connecting the labor market. Since the beginning of the year, the center has organized diverse activities such as job fairs, direct and online transaction sessions, and mobile job conferences at the grassroots level. Information is pushed directly to remote villages to ensure coverage in isolated areas.
In 2025, the center held two job fairs, 21 mobile conferences, and 27 online sessions, enabling workers to access recruitment information quickly and conveniently. The center has also placed a heavy emphasis on information technology, with regular updates on online platforms helping workers overcome geographical limitations. Online transaction sessions and recruitment livestreams are gradually becoming effective, cost-saving channels for both workers and businesses.
These efforts contributed significantly to the province’s overall employment figures. In 2025, Điện Biên created new jobs for 10,360 workers, reaching 110.21% of the set plan. This included 4,344 workers supplied to domestic businesses and 213 individuals working abroad, confirming the center’s effective role as a “bridge” for the labor market.
Nguyễn Duy Phương, Deputy Director in charge of the center, affirmed that the organization continuously innovates its methods to improve consultation quality and expand connection channels to better meet market demands. He also emphasized supporting specific groups such as demobilized soldiers, rural laborers, youth, and ethnic minorities.
Despite these positive shifts, supporting job seekers still faces hurdles. The labor quality remains uneven, and a segment of the workforce lacks professional skills or an industrial work style, which clashes with the increasing demands of businesses. Additionally, limited IT infrastructure in remote areas hinders access to information.
For 2026, Điện Biên province aims to create 9,300 new jobs and reduce the urban unemployment rate to below 2.5%. The province will focus on key solutions such as building a job database, organizing effective fairs, implementing credit support programs, and aligning vocational training with the actual needs of enterprises, while prioritizing support for vulnerable groups and those in remote regions.
