Breaking through and conquering the exam is a shared effort of every student, teacher, and school. One of the targets all schools set for the “70 days of breakthrough - Conquering the 2025 high school graduation exam” is to achieve a higher graduation rate and average exam scores for the 2025 graduation exam compared to 2024. The school management, 12th-grade homeroom teachers, teachers participating in exam preparation, students, and the parents’ representative committee have all signed commitments to work together to achieve the set goals.

Mường Chà High School launched the “70 days of breakthrough - Conquering the 2025 high school graduation exam” campaign at the beginning of April. The school’s principal motivated the entire staff and encouraged the students to strive for the best possible results. Last year, the school had a graduation rate of 99.16%, and this year, with 235 students taking the exam, both teachers and students are determined to achieve a 100% graduation rate.
To achieve this goal, Phùng Việt Hòa, the school’s principal, stated that the campaign would run from April 3 until the exam takes place. They divide the plan into three main phases: Phase 1 (days 1-30) will consolidate basic knowledge; Phase 2 (days 31-55) will focus on exam practice and improving skills; and Phase 3 (days 56-70) will accelerate, review, and work on psychological preparation for students. Each phase is further broken down into weekly plans focusing on specific content. This is the first year with the new national education program, so students may feel anxious and worried. Therefore, in addition to knowledge and skills, the school has increased communication and motivation to help students feel confident and ready for the exam.

Nguyễn Phương Thảo, a 12th-grade student at Mường Chà High School, shared: “Through the support from teachers, parents, and students from grades 10 and 11 in campaign, I feel less anxious and more confident, with greater determination for the exam. I will continue to focus on my study, develop independent thinking, logical analysis, and strive to achieve high results in the exam to fulfill my dream of entering university.”
Chà Cang High School (Nậm Pồ district) is currently in the midst of an intense learning and preparation period. After launching the “70 days of breakthrough - Conquering the 2025 high school graduation exam” campaign in early April, the study atmosphere has become even more enthusiastic. Mornings continue with regular classes, while in the afternoons, teachers provide free tutoring, and in the evenings, students engage in self-study. Teachers are always present at school, ready to answer questions and support students during the exam preparation process. Since February, all 12th-grade students at the school have been staying in dormitories, fully dedicated to their studies. The evening self-study sessions run from 7:30pm to 10:30pm, but 30 students have written requests to the principal to extend their self-study time until midnight.

Vũ Trọng Vinh, Principal of Chà Cang High School, commented that this year, students are very hardworking and have a high level of awareness in their studies. The teachers are passionate and responsible, always available when students need assistance, and they are dedicated to designing review plans and practice exams. Since launching the campaign, both teachers and students have become even more motivated. With this effort, they are aiming for 100% of students (190 students) to graduate, with an average exam score of 6 or higher (last year, the average was 5.95). They also aim to improve ranking in the exam results (last year, the school ranked 19th out of 42 schools and continuing education centers in the province).
To achieve this goal, the school continues with the principle of “studying until you are sure about what you know.” In May, the school plans to hold two mock exams and another one in early June to help students practice for the actual exam. The school will also closely support students at risk of failing the graduation exam.

Hoàng Minh Phượng, History teacher at Chà Cang High School, held: “This year, 187 out of 190 students have chosen History as an exam subject. At this stage, we are focusing on reinforcing basic knowledge along with practice exams for students taking the graduation exam, as well as providing advanced materials for students applying for college or university. Given the structure of this year’s exam, which includes a true/false section that contributes significantly to the score, we have designed additional exercises for students to practice and familiarize them with the questions. Last year, students’ average History scores were 6.07, and this year, we are aiming to raise that to 6.17.”

The “70 days of breakthrough - Conquering the 2025 high school graduation exam” campaign is a comprehensive competition. It encourages competition in teaching and educating 12th-grade students, focusing on exam preparation. It also fosters competition among students to improve their academic and exam results. Additionally, it emphasizes the commitment to quality improvement in 2025 from both the school and the teachers, aiming to exceed the targets set for the 12th-grade students, particularly in the graduation exam results. With this spirited competition and determination from the teachers, students, and final-year students across the province, the 2025 high school graduation exam, despite the changes and new challenges, is expected to “breakthrough” and “conquer” with the best results.
