ĐBP - On the afternoon of March 27, Trương Thị Mai, Member of the Politburo, Permanent member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat and Chairwoman of the Party Central Committee’s Organisation Commission, and Head of the Central Steering Committee for Commemorating Major Holidays and Important Historical Events of the Nation for the years 2023 - 2025, accompanied by a working group, paid a visit and conducted official duties in Điện Biên.

ĐBP – On Tuesday, high-ranking officials from Điện Biên Province evaluated the advancement of projects commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Điện Biên Phủ Victory.

Armed forces taking part in a parade to mark the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory over French colonialists held a rehearsal in Hanoi on March 22.

This visit highlights the landmark's importance in Vietnamese, Lao, and Chinese diplomatic and defence relations.

ĐBP - Today, amid the breathtaking bloom of white ban flowers in the Northwest region and on the heroic grounds of Điện Biên Phủ, Điện Biên Province collaborates with the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism to solemnly inaugurate the National Tourism Year – Điện Biên and the Ban Flower Festival 2024, themed "Glorious Điện Biên Phủ - Endless Experiences".

ĐBP - During the historic Điện Biên Phủ campaign in 1954, in addition to the 9 infantry regimens, 1 artillery regiment armed with 75mm cannons, 2 mortar battalions with 105mm mortars, and 4 heavy machine gun companies with 120mm guns, the Vietnamese troops also boasted an anti-aircraft artillery regiment with 24 37mm guns from the 367th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Regiment – the precursor unit of the present-day Việt Nam Air Force.

ĐBP- On this day 70 years ago, under a canopy of pure white orchid trees, our soldiers huddled together silently at the Him Lam outpost, waiting. At 5pm on March 13, 1954, they raised their weapons and opened fire to shake the "Steel doors" of Him Lam, or Béatrice.This was the beginning of the Điện Biên Phủ Campaign.Those same white orchid trees are once again in full bloom, adorning the entrance to the historic Him Lam site, standing proud as an ever-lasting reminder to all who visit of an heroic and illustrious moment in time.

ĐBP – Điện Biên Province must consolidate its resources to guarantee the fulfillment of projects dedicated to commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Điện Biên Phủ Victory. This directive was issued by Lê Thành Đô, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, during an inspection of various essential projects associated with the commemoration on Wednesday (February 28).

ĐBP – The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee of Điện Biên Province held a working session on Tuesday (February 27) with the Hồ Chí Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee regarding the organisation of a wide range of activities commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Điện Biên Phủ Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024).

ĐBP — Điện Biên Province has expressed its interest in collaborating with the northern provinces of Laos in the development of renewable energy, industrial crops, as well as cooperation in tourism development.

This morning (July 16), the Provincial Party Committee of Dien Bien coordinated with the National Political Publishing House to hold the Signing Ceremony of the cooperation program for the period of 2023 – 2025.

In the program of visiting and working in Dien Bien province, this morning (July 20), the Government's delegation was headed by Mr. Tran Hong Ha, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister went to inspect the implementation progress of the Dien Bien Airport expansion construction investment project.
