Fatherland Front organizations participate in building strong government

ĐBP - In recent times, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in Điện Biên province have actively communicated and mobilized, improved the quality and effectiveness of social supervision and criticism, and implemented democracy. They have also coordinated the organization of voter meetings and gathered public opinion. Through these efforts, the Fatherland Front has promoted its role in participating in the building of a clean and strong Party and government, creating consensus among the people.

Promoting its role as a “bridge” between the Party, the State, and the people, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in the province have proactively coordinated with local authorities to strengthen communication and the dissemination of legal education to raise public awareness. They have also promoted communication on anti-corruption and anti-negativity efforts, linked with the campaign to study and follow Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, ethics, and style. The Fatherland Front Committees at all levels regularly monitor the ideological situation among all classes of people and the resolution of petitions that have been sent to the provincial People’s Council and People’s Committee.

The Fatherland Front Committees at all levels proactively coordinate with socio-political organizations to effectively implement social supervision and criticism. Over the past nine months, the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels have presided over 38 supervisions, making 48 recommendations to various levels and sectors for consideration and resolution. They have also participated in 81 joint supervisions with various levels and sectors and have planned the coordination of supervision locations following the implementation of the two-level local government model. Regarding social criticism, the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels and socio-political organizations have held 9 sessions with more than 100 critical opinions contributed. Most of these opinions have been received and incorporated by the drafting agencies, making an important contribution to the building and finalization of the province’s policies, programs, and projects.

A Fatherland Front official from Nhà Trường village, Thanh Nưa commune, mobilizes residents to properly abide by the guidelines and legal policies of the Party and the State.

The Fatherland Front Committees at all levels also coordinate well in organizing meetings between voters and elected representatives before and after each session of the National Assembly and the People’s Council. In the past period, hundreds of voter meetings have been organized, attracting tens of thousands of attendees and participants who contributed opinions. The Fatherland Front Committees at all levels have promptly organized the collection of public opinion on the draft resolution to amend and supplement several articles of the 2013 Constitution and other draft projects through various forms, such as organizing conferences, collecting opinions via the VNeID application, distributing opinion forms to each household, and holding village meetings.

Before implementing the rearrangement and organization of commune-level administrative units, the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels coordinated with relevant agencies and units to gather public opinion. As a result, many comments were recorded, and the rate of voters representing households participating in the vote reached over 84%. Most recently, the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels coordinated the collection of opinions from officials, party members, and the public on the draft Political Report for the 15th provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030, and the draft documents for the 14th National Party Congress.

In addition, the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels have done well in reconciliation, citizen reception, and dialogue with the people. Many conflicts and disputes at the grassroots level have been successfully and promptly resolved by reconciliation groups. Petitions, complaints, denunciations, and feedback are all considered, processed, and responded to according to regulations. To proactively resolve difficulties and obstacles at the grassroots level, the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels have also organized many direct dialogues between the heads of local party committees and governments and the people. Through these, they can promptly grasp the legitimate thoughts and aspirations of the people and resolve their petitions and pressing issues.

Mr. Nguyễn Tiến Dũng, Vice Chairman of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, affirmed: “Promoting their role, the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels have effectively implemented their activities, especially in communicating, mobilizing, and gathering all classes of people; in social supervision and criticism; and in representing and protecting the legal and legitimate rights and interests of the people. Through these activities, social consensus has been strengthened, the great national unity bloc of all ethnic groups has been consolidated, and this has contributed to building a clean and strong Party, State, and political system.”
