General Secretary Tô Lâm attends inauguration of President Hồ Chí Minh Memorial House in Điện Biên

ĐBP - On the morning of January 31, a delegation of Party and State leaders led by Tô Lâm, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, attended the inauguration ceremony of the President Hồ Chí Minh Memorial House and offered incense to martyrs in Điện Biên.

Participating in the delegation of Party and Government leaders were the following members of the Politburo: Trần Sỹ Thanh, Secretary of the Central Committee and Head of the Central Inspection Commission; Bùi Thị Minh Hoài, Secretary of the Central Committee and Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Trịnh Văn Quyết, Secretary of the Central Committee and Head of the Commission for Dissemination, Education, and Mass Mobilization; Nguyễn Thanh Nghị, Secretary of the Central Committee and Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Commission; Phạm Gia Túc, Secretary of the Central Committee and Chief of the Office of the Party Central Committee; General Phan Văn Giang, Minister of National Defense; General Lương Tam Quang, Minister of Public Security; and Nguyễn Duy Ngọc, Secretary of the Hà Nội municipal Party Committee.

The delegation also included Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyễn Khắc Định, Deputy Prime Minister Hồ Quốc Dũng, and leaders of various central ministries, departments, and branches.

The ceremony was attended by Trần Tiến Dũng, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee; Lê Thành Đô, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Council; Mùa A Vảng, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, along with a large number of officials, people, and students in the local area.

The President Hồ Chí Minh Memorial House in Điện Biên is a cultural and historical work of great significance, built at the Hill E2 relic site in Điện Biên Phủ ward. The project was commenced on June 26, 2025, and covers an area of 160m2 with a traditional two-story roof design. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism served as the investor, while the Party Committee, government, and people of Hồ Chí Minh City provided the resources. The Memorial House was built to remember the great President Hồ Chí Minh, educate people on revolutionary traditions, and contribute to completing the historical cultural space at the Hill E2 relic site.

During the inauguration ceremony of the President Hồ Chí Minh Memorial House, General Secretary Tô Lâm, the central delegation, and the delegates respectfully offered incense and flowers to remember and express their deep gratitude to President Hồ Chí Minh. He was the genius leader of our Party and people, a hero of national liberation, and a world cultural celebrity who dedicated his entire life to the glorious revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.

Also on the morning of January 31, General Secretary Tô Lâm and the delegation visited and offered incense at the Temple of Martyrs at the Điện Biên Phủ Battlefield. They also offered flowers and incense to pay tribute to the heroes and martyrs at the A1 National Cemetery.
