The 17th session of the Provincial People's Council lasted for 1 day and a half, with preparations conducted seriously and in accordance with the law.
The review work by the Committees of the People's Council on the session's agenda items was carried out promptly, effectively, and with high quality. A total of 26 resolutions presented at the session were approved by the People's Council delegates, reflecting consensus, democracy, and unity.
Immediately after the session concluded, the review, editing, and finalisation of resolutions and meeting minutes were carried out promptly, in compliance with regulations. Some submissions and draft resolutions presented by the Provincial People's Committee required adjustments and supplements.
During the meeting, delegates focused on discussing and providing feedback on coordination between the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Việt Nam Fatherland Front in preparing and organising council sessions.
They also suggested assigning tasks earlier to facilitate the creation of video reports and improving internet connection quality.
Regarding the draft programme and supervision plan for 2025, delegates agreed on the contents of the programme.
Chairman Lò Văn Phương called for enhanced leadership and guidance from relevant departments under the People's Council and People's Committee.
He emphasised the importance of proactive, high-quality preparation of reports, submissions, and draft resolutions.
The Provincial People's Committee and its departments were urged to provide immediate feedback when presenting policies, issuing regulations, and supervising resolutions from the draft stage.
He also stressed the need to review the content, schedule, and subjects of thematic supervision by the People's Council, the Standing Committee, and its Committees, particularly in light of the planned merger of provincial departments and sectors.
