Regarded as a transformative turning point, the deepest highlight of Resolution 71 lies in the demand for renewal in mindset, awareness, and institutions. Understanding this clearly, many education managers in Điện Biên identified that without changes at the root, investments and policies could easily become superficial. As a result, the atmosphere of the new school year in many schools across the province has been more focused and purposeful. Schools simultaneously reviewed their staff, improved facilities, re-evaluated teaching methods, and developed flexible, quality-oriented plans for the school year. The spirit of renewal has shifted from mere slogans into real action.
A clear example of this transformation can be seen in creative initiatives at schools. At Hà Nội - Điện Biên Phủ Primary School, before the first lesson even began, the school organized a special meeting with all parents to build consensus, cooperation, and connection between families and the school in educating children.
Principal Lê Thị Nga shared: “In line with Resolution 71’s emphasis on close coordination between family, school, and society, we want to establish real and effective cooperation right from the start of the year. Parents need to understand the school’s orientation and their children’s learning tasks, so they can support and guide their children towards independence and planning, rather than doing things on their behalf.” The school also stressed the importance of experiential activities to ensure “learning goes hand in hand with practice” and “theory is tied to reality,” with parents joining in to help students apply lessons to real life.

Meanwhile, Thanh Luông Secondary School (Thanh Nưa commune) is also bringing the Resolution into practice. With 11 classes and 397 students this year, despite the challenge of limited facilities as new classrooms are under construction, the school remains determined not to let teaching and learning be disrupted. It has flexibly borrowed the village cultural house nearby to organize experiential activities for students. To realize Resolution 71’s mission of holistic education, covering ethics, intellect, physical development, and aesthetics, the school has strengthened its talent clubs.
Principal Nguyễn Đức Hồng said: “We have built a marching band that practices regularly and actively, while also expanding clubs in arts, music, foreign languages, and painting. Students with talents and passions are given the opportunity to grow comprehensively.” At the same time, the school has begun implementing comprehensive digital transformation, promoting the use of digital technology and artificial intelligence in education. Before the school year began, all teachers and staff attended a two-day training course on digital tools and AI applications in classroom management and lesson design.
The transformation is also evident at a broader level. Recently, the province merged two colleges (Vocational College and College of Economics and Technology) to establish Điện Biên College, while preparing to open a branch of Thái Nguyên University in the province. This marks a step toward building professional, multi-disciplinary institutions offering multiple levels of education, with the aim of becoming centers for high-quality workforce training, scientific research, technology transfer, and innovation for the province and the region. It represents a concrete effort to realize Resolution 71’s goal of building and developing human resources, particularly high-quality human resources.
Schools across Điện Biên have been quick to act, translating Resolution 71 into specific tasks. Their fast, synchronized, and determined actions demonstrate that the education sector in Điện Biên truly regards Resolution 71 as a guiding compass for a new stage of development, one that promises groundbreaking achievements in education in the years ahead.
