This commitment is reflected in countless practical activities carried out by various levels and sectors in recent years. Programs on life skills, extracurricular sessions, and children’s festivals have created meaningful, educational, and joyful environments for students.

At Thanh Luong Primary School (Thanh Nưa commune), the festival “Healthy Children - Advancing Toward the Youth Union,” recently organized by the provincial Youth Union and the provincial Youth Team Council, truly became a festival of childhood. Hundreds of students, wearing their red scarves, joyfully sang, danced, played collective games, and revisited the proud pages of national and revolutionary history. “Each time I join such activities, I feel both happy and inspired,” said Cao Tố Uyên, a fifth grader at the school. “We not only get to sing and play but also learn more about history, about the traditions of the Youth Union and the Young Pioneers. I am proud to be a team member and will try my best to study and practice so that I can soon join the Youth Union.”
Beyond such events, education in patriotism, compassion, and solidarity is continuously promoted. From 2020 to 2025, thousands of thematic activities have been organized, while widespread movements such as “Vietnamese Children Emulate to Practice the Five Teachings of Uncle Hồ,” “A Thousand Good Deeds,” and “Small Plans” have created practical opportunities for students to live Uncle Hồ’s teaching: “Love your country, love your compatriots.”
According to Lò Xuân Hạnh, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Youth Union, caring for and nurturing children is always defined as a central, regular task. The goal is to create healthy, meaningful playgrounds that equip students with knowledge, character, and skills, preparing them to become a generation of young people with patriotism, competence, and strong will.

Every school unit annually organizes activities to educate students about the nation’s history and revolutionary traditions, rigorously implements flag-raising and national anthem ceremonies, and improves weekly schoolyard gatherings, thereby instilling in students a love for their homeland, a sense of responsibility for national sovereignty, and values of morality and solidarity. Activities of gratitude, visits to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, support for disadvantaged peers, and aid for disaster-hit communities have nurtured kindness and civic responsibility among children.
Veterans’ associations and other organizations also regularly hold exchanges, storytelling sessions, and meetings with historical witnesses to help young generations understand, cherish, and inherit the nation’s heroic traditions. “Educating young people in traditions is a central mission of our association,” affirmed Lưu Trọng Lư, Chairman of the provincial Veterans’ Association.
With gratitude and understanding of the great sacrifices of their forefathers for independence and freedom, today’s Điện Biên youth are striving every day to study, practice ethics, sharpen skills, and nurture dreams and aspirations, determined to contribute to building a more prosperous, civilized, and beautiful homeland.
