With a spirit of responsibility, all levels of the provincial Women’s Union are constantly innovating their operational methods, applying technology to their work and life, affirming the clear imprint of women in building digital government, digital economy, and digital society today.
Responding to the “Digital Transformation 2023 - 2030” emulation movement launched by the provincial Women’s Union, the Mường Nhé commune Women’s Chapter has actively implemented many practical activities to accelerate the digital transformation process. The union has established Zalo and Messenger social media groups, organizing meetings both in-person and online, helping members who are far away or busy to still participate fully. The union mobilizes members and women to implement the project on developing population data applications, electronic identification (e-ID), and authentication for national digital transformation. It coordinates closely with the commune police and youth union in guiding, installing, and activating e-ID accounts and using online public services.
Mào Thị Thùy, Chairwoman of the Mường Nhé commune Women’s Chapter, shared: “Digital transformation is not only an inevitable trend but also an opportunity for Mường Nhé women to enhance their capacity, expand connections, and develop their economy. Therefore, we encourage members to apply technology in managing and promoting products and services in cyberspace.” Currently, 100% of female officials and civil servants in the commune have installed and used the VNeID application. At the same time, the Union has built a Facebook page, a fan page, and Zalo groups to strengthen communication, exchange, and interaction, contributing to making activities closer, more effective, and aligned with the current digital transformation trend.
In order to promote digital transformation, the Mường Pồn commune Women’s Chapter has proactively built and widely implemented a plan for the “Digital Literacy” movement, considering this a key task to improve digital awareness, skills, and capacity for its officials, members, and women in the area. The goal set by the women’s union levels in Mường Pồn is to have monthly activities and communication content about the “Digital Literacy” movement and to periodically include the movement’s content in branch meetings.
The commune Women’s Chapter organizes or coordinates training sessions on digital transformation, helping members grasp basic knowledge about digital government, digital economy, and digital society. The union strives for 90% of members and women aged 18 and over to participate in training and update their digital transformation knowledge by the end of 2025; and 100% of union officials to attend at least one online or in-person digital capacity building course.
Vừ Thị Sùng, Chairwoman of the Mường Pồn commune Women’s Chapter, said: “To make the ‘Digital Literacy’ movement truly effective, the Union has issued a specific plan, providing guidance, monitoring, and regular evaluation of the implementation process. We coordinate with the government, mass organizations, and businesses to mobilize resources, support women in accessing technology, improve digital skills, and simultaneously implement digital transformation in the chapter’s own activities.”
To effectively implement digital transformation and promote the “Digital Literacy” movement, the Union focuses on communicating on digital platforms, building pilot models to draw experience, and detecting, nurturing, and replicating advanced models and creative, effective practices in the movement. Inspection, supervision, and evaluation are carried out regularly, linked with reviewing, assessing, and honoring outstanding collectives and individuals. Grassroots women’s union branches actively specify the movement to suit local realities, ensuring synchronicity and effectiveness.
Responding to the “Digital Transformation 2023 - 2030” emulation movement launched by the Central Vietnam Women’s Union, all levels of the provincial Women’s Union have actively implemented many synchronous, creative solutions, linked with the implementation of Resolution No.13-NQ/TU dated October 1, 2021, of the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee on digital transformation in the province. One of the highlights is the rollout of the “Điện Biên Smart” application to 100% of officials and members, contributing to enhancing interaction, information access, and promptly reflecting the needs and thoughts of grassroots women. The union levels have innovated their operational methods, bringing digital technology into branch meetings and organizing online conferences and seminars, creating conditions for members in remote areas to participate fully.
The Union established 3 models for gathering women in cyberspace, uses membership management software, issues electronic handbooks, and built a shared digital document library, contributing to modernizing its work. Among these, the “Điện Biên Women’s Market” section in cyberspace has introduced 52 products and services produced or run by women, opening a new direction in developing the digital economy and promoting local specialty products.
In the 2020 - 2025 period, the entire province has had 59,492 women members and 100% of officials and civil servants install and use the VNeID application. 414,748 level 2 e-ID profiles have been collected, reaching 103.7% of the plan, exceeding the 400,000-profile target. In parallel, the “Whole country emulates building a learning society, promoting lifelong learning” movement has been seriously implemented by the provincial Women’s Union according to Plan No.182/KH-BTV dated April 8, 2024, aiming for 100% of officials and civil servants to commit to building a “Learning Agency” and regularly participate in training on digital knowledge and skills.
With a spirit of proactive learning and boldly applying technology to work, life, and economic development, Điện Biên women are not only contributing to building a digital government, digital economy, and digital learning society, but are also spreading a spirit of innovation and an aspiration to rise, making practical contributions to the sustainable development and modernization of their Điện Biên homeland in the era of digital integration.
