Nguyễn Hải Yến, from the Điện Biên Provincial Monument Management Board, excelled in the competition and won the special prize for outstanding tour guide.
According to the organising board, the contestants delivered inspiring performances, demonstrating professionalism, passion, and a deep love for the tour guide profession. The competition celebrated the cultural and historical values of Điện Biên Province and the tourism industry in Việt Nam.
The event also highlighted the profound significance of the Điện Biên Phủ Victory, celebrated globally as a milestone in world history, on the 70th anniversary of this remarkable triumph.
Notable highlights of the competition included innovative organisational methods, enabling contestants to showcase their full potential; exam content aligned with the sustainable development goals of the tourism sector; a spirit of learning and camaraderie among contestants; and the enthusiastic and hospitable hosting by Điện Biên.
The finals featured 20 outstanding contestants.
At the conclusion of the competition, the organising board awarded one special prize, one first prize, three second prizes, five third prizes, ten consolation prizes, and five specialty awards (including "Best On-Site Tour Guide Skills," "Best Visual Presentation," "Champion of Điện Biên Phủ Campaign Knowledge," "Most Inspirational Tour Guide", and "Best Representation of Local Tourism Culture").
The special prize went to Nguyễn Hải Yến from Điện Biên Province, while the first prize was awarded to Lò Thị Tâm from Tuyên Quang Province.
On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee presented certificates of merit to one organisation and two individuals for their outstanding contributions to the organisation of the competition.
