Điện Biên leaders attend final rehearsal of a special artistic program

ĐBP - On the evening of May 2, the final rehearsal of the special artistic program “Non sông gấm vóc - Một dải vinh quang” (Unified Fatherland - A Strip of Glory) took place at the Điện Biên provincial Stadium.

The event was attended by Trần Quốc Cường, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee; Vừ A Bằng, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee; and leaders of various provincial departments and agencies.

After watching the complete run-through, delegates offered candid and detailed feedback to further refine the program ahead of its official premiere.

The stage for the grand performance has been completed.

The program was highly praised for its grand scale, quality, and meticulous investment. However, to ensure the highest impact, delegates contributed suggestions across several aspects:

Script and Presentation: Delegates emphasized the need to review and adjust the narration, ensuring that the MC’s wording is accurate, expressive, and aligns with the context of each segment. Synchronization between narration, performance content, and LED screen visuals were deemed essential.

Costume and Props: Suggestions included aligning stage props with the setting and themes of each performance. A noteworthy proposal was for the three MCs to wear traditional costumes representing the North, Central, and South regions of Vietnam, symbolizing the national unity.

Program Structure: To enhance coherence, delegates recommended trimming and editing the program for brevity and continuity. They also called for greater inclusion of local cultural identity, notably highlighting the ban (bauhinia) flower, a distinctive symbol of the Điện Biên and Northwestern region.

Symbolic Elements: To reinforce historical narratives, delegates proposed incorporating excerpts of President Hồ Chí Minh’s speeches, poetry, or songs praising Uncle Hồ. Iconic images, such as the “Determined to Fight, Determined to Win” flag atop General de Castries’ bunker and the liberation flag on the Independence Palace, were suggested as focal points to deepen the program’s historical resonance.

Public Engagement and Education: Delegates underscored the need for broad media promotion to inform the public about the program and the major live concert featuring famous singers immediately following the televised performance. Expanding audience participation to include war veterans, former police officers, and outstanding students was also recommended to foster wider impact and educational value.

The organizing panel and event team acknowledged the valuable input and committed to promptly reviewing and incorporating the suggestions to perfect the show. With these enhancements, the artistic program promises to deliver a powerful, emotional, and unforgettable artistic experience.
