Commemorative exhibition marks 70th anniversary of Điện Biên Phủ Victory

ĐPB — The Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Điện Biên Province, in collaboration with the Department of Grassroots Culture of the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, inaugurated an exhibition on Tuesday morning. The exhibition features large-scale paintings honoring the 70th anniversary of the historic Điện Biên Phủ Victory at May 7 Square.

This exhibition showcases a selection of 70 works by talented artists from across the nation, comprising both professionals and amateurs.

These pieces were meticulously chosen from a competitive pool of entries in a painting contest organised by the Department of Grassroots Culture. The contest was specifically designed to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Điện Biên Phủ Victory.

Groups and individuals with outstanding achievements in organising the exhibition are duly commended.

Through the eloquence of language, the power of imagery, and the richness of colour, these artworks convey the profound significance and monumental historical stature of the Điện Biên Phủ Victory. They stand as a testament to the steadfast leadership of the Party, the enduring legacy of President Hồ Chí Minh, and the unyielding spirit of national unity.

Moreover, these pieces serve as invaluable educational tools, instilling patriotism, nurturing national pride, and reinforcing public confidence in the Party and the State's leadership in their relentless pursuit of innovation and development.

Following the exhibition, the paintings will be entrusted to Điện Biên Province, where they will continue to disseminate the spirit of Điện Biên Phủ to the people, particularly the younger generation. It is hoped that these artworks will serve as sources of inspiration, encouraging officials, citizens, and armed forces personnel of the province to persevere and attain new milestones in their endeavours.
