Ban blooms herald the arrival of the Ban Flower Festival

ĐBP - As March unfolds, shedding the winter's chill and ushering in the warmth of spring, the hillsides, mountainsides, and villages of northwest Vietnam are adorned with the ethereal beauty of radiant white ban flowers.

In the northern province of Điện Biên, the ban flower embodies a profound connection with the life and culture of ethnic communities residing in the region, symbolising pure, eternal, and faithful love among the youth of the mountainous areas.

With the Ban Flower Festival 2024 merely days away, early visitors eagerly anticipate capturing breathtaking photos, immersing themselves in the enchanting ban forests, and delving into the rich traditional culture of the mountainous terrain.

Prominent locations where the white ban flowers bloom abundantly include the ban forest in Sa Lông Commune, nestled within Mường Chà District; the ban-covered slopes of Tủa Thàng Commune, located in Tủa Chùa District; and the ancient ban forest in Mường Ảng District.

Each delicate petal, pristine and pure, sways gracefully in the breeze, casting a luminous glow upon the secluded mountain landscapes, inviting visitors to embark on a mesmerising journey into the captivating realm of ban flowers.

The ban flowers begin to bloom at the end of February and reach their full splendour in March each year.
