ĐBP – A delegation from Điện Biên Province, headed by Trần Quốc Cường, Member of the Central Party Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, laid wreaths and offered incense in tribute to the martyrs at the Điện Biên Phủ Battlefield Memorial and the A1 Martyrs' Cemetery on the morning of Friday, marking the 79th National Day (2 September 1945 - 2024).

ĐBP - The Party Standing Committee of Điện Biên Province held a working session with the Party Standing Committee of Điện Biên District on Wednesday afternoon to assess the district's political achievements and establish priorities for the remainder of the 2020-25 term. ĐIỆN BIÊN — Trần Quốc Cường, Member of the Party Central Committee, and Secretary of Điện Biên Provincial Party Committee, chaired a meeting on Tuesday to hear the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee report on the progress of implementing several important projects and activities in the field of culture and historical relics.

ĐBP – Vice Chairman of the Điện Biên Provincial People's Committee Lò Văn Tiến requested that the Steering Committee for the provincial Congress of Ethnic Minorities continue to work closely with the provincial Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs to ensure thorough preparation for the 4th Provincial Congress of Ethnic Minorities in 2024. Tiến, who is also head of the Steering Committee, made this request while presiding over a meeting to review and implement the congress preparations on Tuesday.

On the afternoon of August 23, the Provincial Party Committee held a conference with key provincial cadres, members of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, and the Provincial Party Standing Committee to carry out the process of nominating personnel for the additional election of members to the Provincial Party Executive Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

The meeting was chaired by Trần Quốc Cường, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Head of the Provincial Steering Committee.

ĐBP - On 13th August, a delegation from the Steering Committee overseeing the projects under the Comprehensive Plan for the 70th Anniversary of the Điện Biên Phủ Victory, led by Comrade Mùa A Sơn, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, conducted an inspection of the progress and implementation of tasks in Điện Biên Đông District over the first seven months of the year.

ĐBP - On Thursday, a delegation from the National Assembly’s Ethnic Council convened with the Điện Biên Provincial People's Committee to evaluate the implementation of land and forest allocation policies. The meeting centred on strategies for protecting and developing forests while ensuring stable livelihoods for ethnic minority communities in the region from 2019 to 2023.

ĐBP – Deputy Prime Minister Trần Lưu Quang announced that the Government has decided to provide emergency assistance of VNĐ10 billion (US$398,089) to Điện Biên Province to help mitigate damage from floods, landslides and to stabilise the lives of residents in affected areas.

ĐBP – Deputy Prime Minister Trần Lưu Quang on Sunday inspected flood relief efforts in Mường Pồn Commune in the northern mountainous province of Điện Biên, which was hard hit by flash floods on July 25.

The respect-paying ceremony of General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee Nguyễn Phú Trọng is organised in the national mourning etiquette at the National Funeral Hall, No. 5 Trần Thánh Tông, Hà Nội, from 7 AM to 10 PM on July 25 and from 7 AM to 1 PM on July 26, 2024.

ĐBP - A delegation from the Ministry of Transport, led by Nguyễn Văn Thắng, Minister of Transport and head of the National Assembly delegation of Điện Biên Province, paid tribute to General Võ Nguyên Giáp at his worship site in Mường Phăng Commune and offered incense to heroes and martyrs at cemeteries in Điện Biên Phủ City on Monday afternoon. The visit and incense offering ceremony marked the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27).

Nguyễn Phú Trọng, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Việt Nam Central Committee, has significantly shaped the nation's international relations through his unwavering dedication, profound intellect, and steadfast commitment to fostering global partnerships.

At 80 years old, with nearly 57 years of Party membership, 14 years as General Secretary, more than two years as President, and over five years as National Assembly Chairman, Nguyễn Phú Trọng consistently devoted himself to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation. Alongside the Central Committee and the Government, he led the entire Party, the people, and the armed forces to achieve many significant and historic accomplishments.

He passed away due to age-related illness at Central Military Hospital 108 in Hà Nội.
