Conducting the field inspection in Mường Thanh ward, Nguyễn Văn Thắng and the delegation surveyed the IC5 interchange area, disposal sites, and local sources of construction materials, including stone and sand, serving the expressway project.

In Điện Biên Phủ ward, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Nguyễn Văn Thắng and the delegation inspected waste disposal sites, intersections, and potential supplementary locations reserved for soil storage to serve embankment work along the 7/5 arterial road, as proposed by the provincial Traffic Construction Project Management Board and Điện Biên Phủ ward.

Following the field surveys, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Nguyễn Văn Thắng held working sessions with Mường Thanh ward and Điện Biên Phủ ward regarding difficulties, bottlenecks, operational progress on project-related matters, and site clearance work.

Nguyễn Văn Thắng requested localities, units, departments, and sectors to exercise proactive initiative in site clearance, resettlement, material procurement, and disposal site arrangements for the project, noting the need to select suitable dumping locations to reduce overall project costs.

The Department of Agriculture and Environment and the Department of Industry and Trade were tasked with surveying quarries, mineral deposits, and sand and gravel building material sources to serve the Sơn La - Điện Biên - Tây Trang Border Gate Expressway Project and other key infrastructure projects slated for groundbreaking in the coming period, preventing construction material shortages. Concurrently, agencies must intensify public outreach and communication to secure widespread community consensus throughout project execution.
