The conference was attended by Lê Thành Đô, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee.
According to the approved plan, the organizational structure and personnel of the provincial Inspectorate have been reorganized based on the termination of the operations of the district-level and department-level inspectors. These units have been merged and reorganized into specialized departments under the provincial Inspectorate. Following the reorganization, the official name will be “Điện Biên Inspectorate” - a specialized agency under the provincial People’s Committee, tasked with advising and assisting the provincial People’s Committee in managing state affairs related to inspections, citizen reception, complaint resolution, anti-corruption efforts, and the prevention of negative behaviors.

The provincial Inspectorate will carry out inspections within the scope of state management under the provincial People’s Committee; inspect compliance with the law in areas under the jurisdiction of various departments; handle citizen reception, complaints, and anti-corruption duties according to legal regulations. This agency will be directly managed by the provincial People’s Committee and the Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, while receiving specialized guidance and operational support from the Government Inspectorate.
After the reorganization, the Điện Biên Inspectorate now consists of 8 specialized departments, an increase of 3 departments, with 88 personnel. Compared to the pre-reorganization structure, the total number of inspectorate agencies in the province has decreased by 16 units.
In his speech at the conference, Chairman Lê Thành Đô emphasized: “The reorganization of the inspectorate is an essential step to implement the resolutions of the Central Government and the province regarding the renewal and restructuring of the organizational apparatus, aiming for a streamlined structure that operates efficiently and effectively, while meeting the requirements of improving management, administration, and oversight in the new era.”
Chairman Lê Thành Đô urged all officials and staff of the provincial Inspectorate to promote responsibility, continually improve professional knowledge and skills, strengthen political will, and uphold public service ethics. He emphasized the importance of building a team of inspectors who are truly honest, strong-minded, impartial, and objective. Each staff member should not only excel in their professional field but also serve as a role model for ethics, behavior, and dedication to the people. They should firmly combat any negative behavior, including corruption, in all its forms. Building internal solidarity during the merger and restructuring process is essential. Each staff member must proactively adapt, collaborate smoothly, and maximize the role of their position to fulfill all assigned tasks excellently, meeting the trust and expectations of provincial leaders and the people.
