The session was attended by key provincial leaders, including Trần Quốc Cường, member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mùa A Sơn, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; and Lê Thành Đô, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee.
The session will deliberate a wide range of important matters, including reports from the Provincial People’s Committee on the 2024 socio-economic development plan, national defence and security measures, and strategies for 2025.
Also on the agenda are budget revenues and expenditures, the three-year financial plan (2025–2027), public investment plans, anti-corruption efforts, measures to promote thrift and combat wastefulness, crime prevention and law enforcement, and the handling of citizen complaints and denunciations.
Delegates will examine reports on the activities of the Standing Committee and committees of the Provincial People’s Council, oversight findings on compliance with laws in criminal case adjudication and judgment enforcement (2021–2024), the resolution of voter petitions, a compilation of public recommendations ahead of the session, and updates from judicial agencies.
A communiqué from the provincial branch of the Việt Nam Fatherland Front Committee will highlight the committee’s role in governance and present further recommendations to the council.
Questioning sessions with provincial leaders, including members of the People’s Committee, the chief justice of the provincial People’s Court, and the chief procurator of the provincial People’s Procuracy, are also scheduled.
The council is expected to approve 26 resolutions on socio-economic development, budget allocations, public investment, land use, and key social welfare policies directly impacting residents’ lives. These resolutions aim to translate the Party’s guidelines and the State’s policies into practical measures to address the province's socio-economic needs in 2025 and beyond.
In his opening remarks, Lò Văn Phương, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council, highlighted the importance of the session’s extensive agenda, addressing numerous issues of concern to voters and the public.
He urged delegates to uphold their responsibilities by adhering to democratic principles, actively engaging in discussions, and asserting their roles in the decision-making process. Emphasising the importance of accountability, he encouraged thorough questioning to clarify the responsibilities of relevant individuals and organisations while proposing practical solutions to ongoing challenges.
Provincial leaders and department heads were called upon to take accountability, provide comprehensive responses to delegates’ concerns, and address issues raised during the discussions.
The session will span two days, concluding on December 10.
