Điện Biên celebrate 95th founding anniversary of the Party

ĐBP - On February 3 (or the sixth day of the 2025 Lunar New Year), the Điện Biên Provincial Party Committee held a meeting to mark the 95th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - 2025).

Attending the meeting were Mr. Trần Quốc Cường, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Điện Biên Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Mùa A Sơn, Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee; Mr. Lê Thành Đô, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee; and Mr. Lò Văn Phương, Chairman of the provincial People’s Council, among others.

During the meeting, delegates took a moment to reflect on the glorious 95-year history of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the 76-year development of the provincial Party Committee. Over 76 years, through 14 congresses, the provincial Party Committee has become increasingly strong in terms of politics, ideology, and organization. As of now, the provincial Party Committee has 14 affiliated Party sub-committees, with 616 grassroots Party organizations and over 49,000 Party members.

To uphold the heroic tradition of Điện Biên Phủ, the provincial Party Committee and government have focused on leading and directing the mobilization of combined strength of all levels and sectors, emphasizing the core role of organizations within the political system. This has yielded significant achievements across multiple areas, including the concrete implementation of the Party’s guidelines and State’s policies and laws, and resolutions through tailored programs and plans that cater to local conditions, ultimately leading to notable outcomes.

In his speech, Mr. Trần Quốc Cường expressed that the achievements over 95 years since the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam and 76 years of building and developing the provincial Party Committee have significantly contributed to the successful implementation of the Party’s resolutions in each period. He affirmed the development of the provincial Party Committee in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland; this serves as an important foundation to strengthen the trust of the people and Party members, creating a new momentum and aspiration for strong, civilized, and prosperous development of the nation.

Mr. Trần Quốc Cường further stated that in the coming time, the provincial Party Committee will concentrate on leading and directing all levels of Party sub-committees and organizations within the province to continue disseminating and implementing the resolutions and directives of the Central Party Committee.

The provincial Party Committee will focus on leading and directing the successful organization of party congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term, the 15th provincial Party Congress, and towards the 14th National Party Congress. Additionally, the committee will seriously implement the rearrangement of the organizational apparatus to ensure streamlining, efficiency and effectiveness; preserve and promote the solidarity of ethnic groups, creating a combined strength of the political system to successfully implement socio-economic development goals; ensure national defense and security’ and improve the material and spiritual lives of residents.

Mr Trần Quốc Cường expressed confidence that the provincial Party Committee, government, people of all ethnic groups, and armed forces in the province, will continue to unite, strive, and steadfastly overcome all difficulties and challenges. They will seize opportunities and advantages, successfully fulfill their tasks and, join the whole country in bringing Vietnam into a new era - an era of the nation’s resurgence.

At the meeting, provincial leaders presented gifts to veteran Party members residing in Điện Biên Phủ City and Điện Biên District. On the occasion of the 2025 Lunar New Year (Tết) holiday, provincial leaders also conveyed their best wishes for the new spring to all delegates attending the meeting.
