Điện Biên District holds “Forever Grateful to Uncle Hồ” tree planting festival

ĐBP - On the morning of February 3, in Thanh Xương commune, the People’s Committee of Điện Biên District, Điện Biên Province organized the launching ceremony for the “Forever Grateful to Uncle Hồ” tree planting festival on the occasion of the 2025 Lunar New Year (Tết) holiday.

Mr. Trần Quốc Cường, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Điện Biên Provincial Party Committee attended the event.

Over the past time, Điện Biên District has actively responded to the program to launch the planting of 1 billion green trees for the 2021-2025 period, titled “For a Green Vietnam”.

In this initiative, tree planting is identified as a regular activity that plays an important role, closely linked to the comprehensive development of the district, benefiting not only the present but also future generations.

After the ceremony, provincial leaders, officials, civil servants, youth union members, workers, and the people of Điện Biên District planted nearly 200 bauhinia and rosewood trees along the corridor of the road leading to the district center, specifically in Team 8, Thanh Xương Commune.
