ĐBP – The Central Inspection Commission held a conference in Điện Biên Province on Friday, reviewing the inspection, supervision, and disciplinary work of the Party over the past nine months and setting the key tasks for the last three months of 2024 in the Region No6 area.

The conference was co-chaired by Trần Thị Hiền, Deputy Head of the Central Inspection Commission, and Tô Duy Nghĩa, Member of the Central Inspection Commission.

Delegates participate in the conference.

Attendees included Trần Quốc Cường, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Điện Biên Provincial Party Committee; Ngô Đông Hải, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Thái Bình Province; representatives from the Central Mass Mobilisation Commission; leaders of the Party Personnel Commission; Party delegations; local Party committees; and inspection commissions from Region No6 units.

Speaking at the conference, Trần Quốc Cường, Secretary of the Điện Biên Provincial Party Committee, emphasised that the Điện Biên Provincial Party always prioritises improving the quality and effectiveness of Party building.

He highlighted that the work of inspection, supervision, and discipline plays a crucial role in Party building and is one of the key leadership functions of the Party.

The province has focused on leading and directing Party committees and inspection commissions at all levels to thoroughly implement the resolutions of Party congresses, as well as the regulations and guidelines of the central and provincial levels regarding inspection, supervision, and discipline within the Party.

Trần Quốc Cường, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Điện Biên Provincial Party Committee speaks at the conference.

The province has also directed the Provincial Party Inspection Commission to continue reviewing and issuing new or revised regulations, procedures, and guidelines related to inspection and supervision, ensuring compliance with regulations and suitability for the actual situation.

It has organised both domestic and international delegations to learn from others' experiences.

The province instructed Party committees, inspection commissions at all levels, and advisory bodies to the Provincial Party Committee to implement the 2024 inspection and supervision programme. This program covers various areas, with a focus on comprehensive supervision, self-inspection, and internal supervision within Party organisations. The emphasis is on areas prone to corruption, negative behavior, violations, long-neglected issues, and newly emerging difficulties.

At the conference, leaders of Điện Biên Province expressed hope to continue receiving support and guidance from the Central Inspection Commission, Region No6, and the Central Inspection Commission’s departments, as well as coordination from central agencies, military zones under the Ministry of National Defence, and localities.

The province also aims to gain valuable experience in inspection and supervision to further build a clean and strong Provincial Party.

Ngô Đông Hải, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Thái Bình Province, delivers a presentation at the conference.

In the first nine months of 2024, Party committees and organisations at all levels have focused on leading and directing the dissemination, implementation, and timely execution of resolutions, directives, conclusions, and guiding documents from the Central Committee regarding the Party’s inspection, supervision, and disciplinary work.

They have proactively reviewed, amended, and supplemented relevant regulations and procedures. The inspection commissions at all levels have actively carried out their advisory functions, assisting their respective Party committees in issuing and implementing plans for inspection, supervision, and disciplinary enforcement.

At the same time, they have comprehensively performed the tasks assigned by the Party Charter, working closely with related Party organisations and agencies to carry out inspection and supervision duties more effectively.

There have been numerous innovations and efforts to improve the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of the Party's inspection, supervision, and disciplinary enforcement. The awareness of Party committees, particularly the heads, regarding the importance and role of inspection and supervision has improved significantly.

Many Party organisations and members, after being inspected and supervised, have promptly addressed shortcomings and violations, resulting in greater effectiveness in fulfilling their assigned tasks.

At the conference, there were seven presentations that further clarified the results of the inspection and supervision work conducted over the first nine months of 2024. The delegates also discussed challenges that need to be addressed, such as providing clearer guidelines for the implementation of inspection, supervision, and Party disciplinary actions, as well as issues related to the allocation of resources, policies, and benefits for full-time inspection officers.

Trần Thị Hiền, Deputy Head of the Central Inspection Commission, delivers a speech at the conference.

In her concluding remarks, Trần Thị Hiền, Deputy Head of the Central Inspection Commission acknowledged and addressed the comments raised by the delegates.

For the key tasks in the last three months of the year, Hiền urged Party committees, organisations, and inspection commissions at all levels to fully and correctly fulfill their functions, duties, and authority in the areas of inspection, supervision, and Party discipline.

She emphasised the need for systematic, effective, and practical work, fostering unity in both thought and action, and maintaining strict discipline within the Party.

Hiền also called for stronger leadership, direction, and guidance for lower-level Party committees and inspection commissions to conduct inspections and supervision proactively and regularly.

She stressed the importance of thoroughly implementing the conclusions of the Politburo, Secretariat, Party committees, inspection commissions at all levels, and the Central Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption, especially following the conclusions of the Central Inspection Commission.

Furthermore, she highlighted the need to continue implementing Conclusion No21-KL/TW of the Party Central Committee on strengthening Party building and rectification, along with the political system.

Hiền also called for improving the quality of the inspection workforce and regularly reinforcing the inspection commissions at all levels, ensuring both sufficient staffing and gradual improvement in quality.

Before the conference, the delegates paid tribute to the heroic martyrs by offering incense and flowers at the Memorial Temple for Fallen Soldiers at the Điện Biên Phủ Battlefield and visited several historical sites in Điện Biên Phủ City.
