AI application course launched in Điện Biên Province

ĐBP - The Điện Biên Provincial People’s Committee on March 1 launched a course “New-generation artificial intelligence (AI) application” for 100 management officials and teachers in the local education sector on March 1.

The opening ceremony was held in a direct - virtual format, with over 480 online participants from various educational institutions across the province.

Attendees included key provincial leaders: Mr. Lê Thành Đô, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee; Mr. Lò Văn Phương, Member of the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People’s Council; and Mr. Mùa A Vảng, Alternate Member of the Central Party Committee, Member of the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Điện Biên Province.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Lê Thành Đô emphasized that the course offers a valuable opportunity for teachers to access new knowledge and technologies, ultimately enhancing the quality of education in the province. This course marks a significant step in the province’s digital transformation roadmap and aligns with the Politburo’s Resolution No.57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation.

Mr. Lê Thành Đô has urged the Điện Biên’s Department of Education and Training to effectively organize and manage teacher participation in AI education. He also emphasized the need for continued research and robust deployment of AI applications in teaching, as well as expanded collaboration with tech organizations and businesses to enhance digital capacity for educators.

Additionally, the province’s Department of Science and Technology has been encouraged to support the education sector in developing digital infrastructure, facilitating optimal conditions for AI application in education, and connecting tech businesses with the education sector to update and apply the latest solutions.

Mr. Lê Thành Đô has called on the STEAM for Vietnam Foundation to continue supporting Điện Biên Province’s education sector. Specifically, he requested their assistance in providing expertise, materials, training, and expanding AI application programs in teaching.

Chairman Lê Thành Đô expressed his hope that teachers will seize this opportunity to acquire new knowledge, creatively apply it in their teaching practices, and ultimately enhance the effectiveness of education in schools.

The course draws 100 key management officials and teachers from the education sector.

The “New-generation AI application” course took place within March 1 at the Center for Continuing Education of Điện Biên province.
