ĐBP - Faced with increasingly strict traceability and quality standard requirements, establishing and managing planting area codes is becoming a key factor for Điện Biên province’s agricultural products to increase their value and expand their markets. This is also a shift in production mindset, moving towards a green, sustainable agriculture, from “producing what we have” to “producing what the market needs.”

ĐBP - In recent years, Điện Biên farmers have actively applied mechanization from land preparation and sowing to harvesting, preservation, and processing, helping to reduce labor and improve production efficiency. Mechanization has changed traditional farming practices and opened up a path for sustainable, commodity-based agricultural development, in line with the province’s agricultural restructuring requirements.

ĐBP - After a series of administrative mergers, the area and population of many communes and wards in Điện Biên province have significantly expanded, creating new space and momentum for local growth. Urbanization tied to commerce and services has emerged as a promising direction, especially in central areas with advantages in location and infrastructure. Across many communes, service trade is taking off following the “boost” of the merger process.

ĐBP - According to an assessment by the Vietnam Energy Institute, Điện Biên province has the potential to develop wind power with a total capacity of 2,500 - 3,000MW. To date, the total capacity proposed by investors is about 1,400MW.

From the young buds covered in white fluff on the gnarled branches attached to the ancient trunks, the Hmong people of the Tủa Chùa highlands create a rich, pure tea aroma. Many creative models, suitable for practical conditions, have been applied, helping people better understand their roles and responsibilities in managing, protecting, and developing forests.

ĐBP - In recent years, in Pú Nhung commune, Điện Biên province, fruit trees are gradually becoming a crop for poverty reduction, promoting economic development.

ĐBP - These days, the coffee gardens throughout Quài Tở commune, Điện Biên province are bustling with laughter and the rush of the harvest season. Joy spreads as the coffee cherries are ripe, red, and plump, and purchase prices are high.

ĐBP - The collective economy, with cooperatives as its core, is increasingly affirming its important role in socio-economic development. By using flexible and creative methods, cooperatives on provincial lands are helping people link up in production, create jobs, increase income, and contribute to economic restructuring, new rural development, and promoting digital transformation in the highlands.

ĐBP - Digital transformation is spreading strongly to all areas of life, and putting local agricultural products on e-commerce (e-commerce) platforms has become an inevitable direction to expand markets and enhance product value. The Điện Biên provincial Post Office has pioneered the application of digital technology to promote and sell agricultural products.
