ĐBP - No longer just numbers and dates in textbooks, in many schools across Điện Biên province, history lessons are being retold in unique and creative ways, from technological connections to vivid experiences, and through the very passion of the students themselves.

ĐBP - Environmental protection work in the province has seen many positive changes recently, especially in the management and treatment of domestic solid waste. From fragmented collection methods, localities have shifted their focus to “treatment at the source,” identifying this as a key solution for building a green, clean, and sustainable environment.

ĐBP - With a desire to share hope and bring encouragement to poor and near-poor households, as well as students facing particularly difficult circumstances, local authorities, agencies, businesses, and philanthropists have been actively contributing to community welfare and social security.

ĐBP - Promoting a spirit of proactivity and creativity, in recent years, women of all ethnic groups in Điện Biên province have made many positive contributions in all areas of social life. Many women have actively participated in state management, business, and successful economic development, promoting the role and position of women in the new era.

ĐBP - The soldiers in green uniforms of the Điện Biên provincial Border Guard Command, in addition to their duty of firmly protecting national sovereignty and border security, are also dedicated to caring for the health of the people in border areas. With the spirit that “a good physician is like a gentle mother,” the border guard military medics have overcome difficulties and hardships, traveling to remote villages to examine and treat patients, contributing to the healthcare of the people at the nation’s frontier.

ĐBP - Decree No.176/NĐ-CP dated June 30, 2025, of the Government, which details and guides the implementation of several articles of the Law on Social Insurance regarding social retirement allowances (referred to as Decree 176), came into effect on July 1, 2025, bringing joy to elderly people (NCT) in difficult circumstances. This policy has become a pillar of support and a source of spiritual encouragement for them to live happily and healthily in their old age.

ĐBP - By innovating vocational training, expanding preferential credit, and promoting labor export, Điện Biên province has created tens of thousands of new jobs in recent years. This result brings hope for change for workers, awakens the internal strength and aspiration to rise within the entire community, and creates a foundation for Điện Biên to make a strong breakthrough.

ĐBP - From humble beginnings marked by scarcity and struggle, Búng Lao Secondary School has grown into a leading institution in its cluster, a shining example of resilience and continuous effort in Điện Biên province’s highland education sector.

ĐBP - Tủa Chùa commune is home to six ethnic groups, with ethnic minorities accounting for over 83% of its population. In recent years, thanks to the close attention and guidance of the Party and the State, along with the coordinated efforts of local authorities, ethnic minority policies have been effectively localized to fit real conditions. These initiatives have transformed the mountainous rural landscape and improved the living standards of local residents.

ĐBP - Driven by a strong sense of community spirit, Youth Union chapters across Điện Biên province have launched numerous initiatives and volunteer projects that have left a meaningful mark on local life. Their achievements highlight the pioneering role of young people in Điện Biên, contributing significantly to the province’s socio-economic development and the building of a more prosperous and civilized homeland.

ĐBP - In the westernmost land of the Fatherland today, although the lives of the people still face difficulties, the ethnic communities always feel the warmth of sharing and care from the entire political system and society. From social security programs and housing support to the implementation of poverty eradication and infrastructure development projects, everything is aimed at improving the quality of life for the people.

ĐBP - Over 40 years of national renewal, Điện Biên’s education sector has overcome numerous difficulties, affirming its important position and role in the local socio-economic development. Achievements in the scale and quality of education, along with pioneering steps in digital transformation, are a testament to the relentless efforts and determination for innovation within Điện Biên’s education sector.

ĐBP - Alongside continued investment in transport infrastructure, the province has been focusing on developing public passenger transport by bus to ease traffic congestion, reduce travel costs, and protect the environment. However, the system remains small-scale and underdeveloped due to a lack of mechanisms and supportive policies for both businesses and residents. There is now an urgent need for incentives to encourage private participation, fare reductions, and the gradual establishment of a modern, well-connected bus network.

ĐBP - Coming to the 2025 Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament with a spirit of exchange and learning, the Điện Biên Trade Union football team ended up writing one of the most inspiring and unforgettable stories of the Northern regional qualifiers.

ĐBP - Inheriting and promoting the heroic tradition of Điện Biên Phủ, union members and youth in the province have taken the lead in volunteering for activities benefiting community life, joining hands to protect the environment, build new rural areas and civilized urban centers, ensure social security, and defend the Fatherland. In Điện Biên province, some schools have decided to stop collecting the parents’ association fund, a move that has received strong support and agreement from many parents.

ĐBP - Thanks to investment and attention from the central and provincial governments, along with the sector’s determination to innovate, Điện Biên’s healthcare system has made significant progress in medical examination and treatment.

ĐBP - They hold no official titles or administrative positions, yet they have the people’s trust; they issue no commands, yet their words carry immense weight. For many years, these respected individuals have stood as the “great trees” of their villages. Through their integrity and sense of responsibility, they have become strong and enduring bridges connecting the Party and government with ethnic communities in the borderlands.

ĐBP - Recognizing that legal dissemination and education are crucial political tasks, the Điện Biên provincial Border Guard Command has, in recent years, implemented numerous solutions and diversified communication methods to bring legal knowledge to people living along the border. These efforts have contributed significantly to maintaining political stability, social order, and safeguarding the nation’s territorial sovereignty.

ĐBP - In recent times, many localities across the province have worked closely with law-enforcement agencies to intensify public awareness campaigns, encouraging residents to voluntarily hand over weapons, explosives, and support tools (WES). These efforts aim to create “weapon-free areas,” ensuring community safety and peace. The determined involvement of authorities at all levels has helped prevent violations and protect the well-being of citizens.
