ĐBP - July arrives with solemn emotion in the hearts of millions of Vietnamese people. It is a month of remembrance and gratitude, a time of quiet reflection for the nation to honor the heroic individuals who bravely sacrificed their lives for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland. In Điện Biên province, once a fierce battlefield, every road, every martyr’s cemetery, and every engraved stone bears witness to a legacy of sacrifice, reminding us that gratitude must be preserved through heartfelt actions.

ĐBP - On the afternoon of July 26, shortly after landing at the Điện Biên Airport, Party General Secretary Tô Lâm and the accompanying delegation inspected the operations of the local political system and visited ethnic communities and policy beneficiary families in Si Pa Phìn commune, Điện Biên province.

ĐBP - The Party congresses for the 2025-2030 term mark a broad and significant political event across the entire Party, armed forces, and people. In that same spirit, immediately after its establishment and official operation, the Mường Nhé commune Party Committee quickly began preparations for its first congress.

ĐBP - Over the past decade (2016-2025), implementing Directive No.05-CT/TW of the Politburo on promoting the study and following of Hồ Chí Minh’s ideology, morality, and lifestyle, Điện Biên province has developed many effective approaches, embedding the practice deeply into social life. A growing number of exemplary individuals have emerged across various fields, with their concrete actions spreading the spirit of Hồ Chí Minh’s legacy throughout communities and sectors.

ĐBP - Mường Toong commune in Điện Biên province was established following the merger of the former Mường Toong and Huổi Lếch communes (formerly of Mường Nhé district). After nearly one month of operating under the new model, despite facing challenges such as limited infrastructure and a shortage of specialized personnel in certain sectors, the commune’s Party Committee and local authorities have taken a proactive and flexible approach in organizing and stabilizing the new administrative apparatus. The dedicated and responsible team of civil servants has created the most favorable conditions for residents during the transition period.

ĐBP - Promoting the pioneering and volunteer spirit of youth, members of the Youth Union in Điện Biên province have been actively supporting local authorities in helping citizens become familiar with new administrative procedure processes under the two-tier local government model.

ĐBP - Without official housing, proper offices, or basic working equipment, despite facing numerous shortages, commune-level officials in Điện Biên province’s border areas continue to overcome challenges, maintain effective local governance, and stay connected with the people.

ĐBP - In the spirited atmosphere across the country heading toward the 14th National Party Congress, the Party Committee of Pu Nhi commune is urgently and seriously implementing preparations for its first Party Congress for the 2025–2030 term. This is a particularly significant political event, marking a new development phase for the commune following the merger of the former Noong U and Pu Nhi communes.

ĐBP - In recent years, the number of Party members in Điện Biên province working in other provinces or going abroad for labor export has been on the rise. In response, Party committees at all levels have introduced flexible solutions to ensure both the rights and income of these members while maintaining their connection and responsibility to the Party organization.

ĐBP - As the transportation network expands and traffic volume increases, rural roads in Điện Biên province are becoming more complex and accident-prone. However, the traffic police force cannot cover every inter-village or communal road. This has called for stronger involvement and an expanded role for local communal police in maintaining traffic order and safety.

ĐBP - Throughout Vietnam’s long history, the nation has held firmly to the principle of “gratitude to those who came before,” a deeply rooted tradition of honoring those who sacrificed for the country’s independence and freedom. Every year, this spirit shines brightest in July, the month of remembrance, through meaningful activities to support war invalids, families of martyrs, and revolutionary contributors.

ĐBP - In recent years, officers and soldiers of the Điện Biên provincial Border Guard have always stayed close to the people, regularly visiting villages, proactively coordinating with local Party committees and authorities to help residents overcome hardship, develop the economy, and strengthen the bond between the military and the people in border areas.

ĐBP - Immediately after restructuring and reorganizing the local military agencies under the two-tier local government model, military units in the province swiftly stabilized their organizational structures and maintained efficient and synchronized operations. A key focus has been the careful preparation and successful organization of Party congresses.

ĐBP - Focusing on the development of Party members and Party cells in private enterprises is one of the key tasks identified by the Điện Biên provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term. This approach not only demonstrates the Party’s attention and leadership role in the private economic sector but also contributes to establishing a solid political foundation that accompanies sustainable business development.

ĐBP - In the early days of implementing the two-tier local government model, commune and ward-level police forces in Điện Biên province have acted swiftly and decisively. Working closely with local authorities and agencies, they’ve played a key role in ensuring the seamless operation of the new administrative system. Their proactive and coordinated efforts have affirmed their vital role in state management of security and order - the very foundation for the new system’s effectiveness.

ĐBP - Many people have asked Lieutenant Colonel Phạm Chí Dũng why he is so willing to donate blood, both whole blood and platelets, even if it means traveling hundreds of kilometers from the westernmost region to Hanoi and lying still for hours to undergo platelet separation. He simply smiles and says: “Because somewhere out there, someone needs it to live.”

ĐBP - In the context of the entire Party, people, and army striving to fulfill the goals set by the 13th National Party Congress, the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) in Điện Biên province, established through the merger of 10 grassroots party cells with 192 members, has increasingly affirmed its role as a political core and center for uniting ethnic communities across the province. This Party Committee contributes meaningfully to sustainable development, safeguarding national sovereignty, and improving people’s livelihoods.

ĐBP - On the basis of the merger of four Party committees, Na Sang, Ma Thì Hồ, Sa Lông, and the former Mường Chà township, the new Party Committee of Na Sang commune was established, comprising 60 subordinate Party cells and committees with a total of 1,278 Party members. During the 2020-2025 term, the Na Sang commune Party Committee has demonstrated strong unity, innovation, and creativity, overcoming numerous difficulties to successfully achieve key goals in socio-economic development, national defense, security, and political system building.
