At the meeting, the delegation briefed voters on the tentative agenda and key issues to be discussed at the upcoming session, and gathered public feedback on several draft laws, including amendments to the Law on local government organization, the Law on Election of NA and People’s Council deputies, and the Law on Cadres and Civil Servants.
The 9th session is scheduled to open on May 5, and conclude on June 28, divided into two phases: May 5 - 28 and June 11- 28. Deputies are expected to review and amend parts of the 2013 Constitution, adopt 30 laws and 7 resolutions, give feedback on 6 draft bills, and deliberate on major socio-economic and budgetary matters, national oversight, and structural reforms of the state apparatus for socio-economic development.

Voters in Nậm Pồ raised several concerns, including the need for clearer guidance on the implementation of Decree 178/2024/NĐ-CP on policies for officials, civil servants, and public employees involved in restructuring the political system, as well as Decree 67/2025/NĐ-CP, which amends the former. They also highlighted shortcomings in the two-tier local government model and called for increased funding for infrastructure development.
Regarding the implementation of national target programs - new rural development (2021 - 2025), sustainable poverty reduction (2021 - 2025), and socio-economic development for ethnic minority and mountainous areas (2021 - 2030) - Nậm Pồ District has achieved a 5.9% reduction in poverty (meeting the set target). All poor, near-poor, and recently lifted-out-of-poverty households have been connected to vocational counseling and job placement services. Additionally, the percentage of communes with asphalt or concrete roads leading to the commune centers has reached 80%.

The Nậm Pồ district’s voters recommends that the Government should consider granting local authorities the authority to allocate annual operating funds for projects and sub-projects to enhance the efficiency of fund utilization, based on the specific conditions of the locality.
Deputy Lò Thị Luyến acknowledged the voters’ feedback and addressed several matters. The provincial NA delegation pledged to monitor the handling of voters’ opinions and ensure their concerns are conveyed to the NA, the Government, ministries, and relevant agencies, aiming for timely and satisfactory responses that meet public expectations.
