Nà Tấu leads by example in embracing Hồ Chí Minh’s example

ĐBP -  In recent years, the Party Committee of Nà Tấu commune (Điện Biên Phủ city, Điện Biên province) has made studying and following Hồ Chí Minh’s ideology, morality, and style a regular and voluntary practice among all officials, Party members, and residents. This has significantly contributed to Party building and socio-economic development in the area.

The Party Committee of Nà Tấu currently has 360 members across 24 Party cells, including 16 village cells, one at the local health station, one military, one police, and five school-based cells.

According to Thẳm Thị Hiên, Secretary of the Nà Tấu commune’s Party Committee, recognizing the importance of studying and following Uncle Hồ as a long-term, essential task, the Party Committee has directed each affiliated Party cell to develop action plans tailored to local conditions. These efforts have been incorporated into the implementation of the commune’s Party Congress resolutions and aligned with patriotic movements and campaigns. The ultimate goal is to improve the material and spiritual life of the people.

All officials, Party members, and commune staff are expected to develop concrete, practical plans to study and follow Hồ Chí Minh’s teachings - results of which are used as key benchmarks in their annual performance assessments. Emphasis is placed on the leadership role of key officials, who are expected to lead by example - strictly observing Party regulations and policies, fulfilling their responsibilities with innovation and determination, and demonstrating integrity and efficiency in their work. Leaders are encouraged to be the first to learn and act so that others may follow, while also reforming work styles and addressing shortcomings.

A thematic study session on Hồ Chí Minh’s ideology, morality, and style held by the Nà Tấu commune’s Party Committee.

In parallel, the commune has strengthened political and ideological education through regular meetings and themed learning sessions, helping Party members gain a deeper understanding of the values and significance of Hồ Chí Minh’s teachings. Mass organizations have actively mobilized members and residents to grow household economies, reduce poverty, adopt new technologies, and shift toward more productive farming and livestock practices.

The impact of these efforts is clearly visible throughout Nà Tấu, as numerous practical and meaningful initiatives have taken root. Commune officials now demonstrate greater dedication, improved work ethics, and a more professional, courteous manner in their day-to-day interactions. The Women’s Union has rolled out the “Five Nos, Three Cleans” campaign across all its chapters, with each pledging at least one concrete initiative in support of the Party’s new rural development goals. All 16 chapters are maintaining clean, self-managed road sections and promoting environmental awareness. The Farmers’ Union motivates its members to work diligently and succeed through lawful, productive economic activities. Meanwhile, the Veterans’ Association actively promotes the “Exemplary Veterans” movement, closely tied to Hồ Chí Minh’s ideology, fostering solidarity and upholding the proud traditions of “Uncle Hồ’s Soldiers” as they support one another in economic development.

The ongoing study and application of Hồ Chí Minh’s ideology, morality, and style has brought about positive changes in Nà Tấu’s efforts to develop its economy, safeguard national defense and security, and build a clean, strong Party and political system. Since achieving new-style rural commune status in 2019, Nà Tấu has eliminated poverty, with 1,409 households now recognized as “cultural families” and 12 out of 16 villages achieving “cultural village” title. The average per capita income has reached VND 46 million per year, social order remains stable, and overall living conditions continue to improve.

These achievements offer a solid foundation and driving force for the Party Committee of Nà Tấu to continue delivering on its mission of fostering sustainable local development.
