He extended gratitude to previous generations who sacrificed their blood and lives for the nation’s peace, and to war veterans and former youth volunteers - living witnesses of that heroic chapter in history. He emphasized that future generations would always remember the day of national reunification, April 30, 1975, and pledged that the delegation’s members would continue working tirelessly to build and defend the country. He also expressed hope that the veterans would remain role models for younger generations and continue supporting the Party and State in major policy decisions that drive national development.

Veteran Bùi Minh Tâm, representing the Hồ Chí Minh Campaign participants, delivers his remarks.

At the ceremony, war veteran Bùi Minh Tâm, representing soldiers who directly fought in the Hồ Chí Minh Campaign, shared powerful memories of the historic final push, when he and his comrades overcame the last enemy strongholds to bring victory and national unification. He sincerely thanked the Điện Biên delegation for their heartfelt gesture and expressed hope that today’s youths would inherit the tradition of national construction and defence from their forefathers to preserve and build a more beautiful Vietnam.
