Throughout the 2020-2025 term, the commune’s Party Committee and its Standing Board have focused intensively on leadership, synchronously implementing resolutions from the central to local levels. Despite facing challenges such as limited resources, natural disasters, and epidemics, the commune’s leadership remained steadfast and proactive, contributing to maintaining political stability and strengthening the great national unity bloc.
In the economic sphere, Na Sang commune has recorded notable achievements. The economic structure has shifted in the right direction, closely aligned with agricultural restructuring and commodity development. The total cultivated area of food crops exceeds 2,200 hectares, yielding over 5,700 tons. The average income per capita is approximately VND 32 million per year. Several high-value crops, such as rubber, macadamia, cinnamon, and perennial tea, have been steadily developed, with seven OCOP products certified with three-star ratings.
Livestock and aquaculture have also grown significantly, and forest coverage has surpassed 34%. The local industry, handicrafts, trade, and services sectors have developed in accordance with the commune’s potential, bringing signature products such as Na Sang pineapples, dried buffalo meat, and sausages to e-commerce platforms. The total local budget revenue has reached VND 215 billion. Socio-economic infrastructure continues to be invested in, with transportation, electricity, and clean water systems meeting basic daily needs and laying a solid foundation for future sustainable development.

The effective implementation of three national target programs has significantly improved the living standards of local residents and fostered comprehensive socio-economic development. The socio-economic development program for ethnic minority and mountainous areas was allocated more than VND 100 billion, with a disbursement rate of nearly 99%, focusing on 17 projects and 11 key subprojects. The new rural development program has seen positive results, with 16 out of 19 criteria fulfilled and 11 villages meeting new rural standards; on average, each village has achieved nine criteria. The sustainable poverty reduction program has also yielded clear results, reducing the multidimensional poverty rate to below 29%, with an average annual decline of over 4%. Science and technology have been actively promoted, particularly the application of digital technologies in management and production, including the implementation of VietGAP standards at the Na Sang Cooperative.
Environmental protection and natural resource management have received due attention, with the solid waste collection rate reaching 50%. The commune has effectively protected upstream forests, completed land-use planning, and issued forest land-use certificates. In addition to economic development, national defense and security tasks have also been prioritized. The Party Committee and local authorities have proactively assessed the situation, effectively implemented training, recruitment, drills, and built a strong militia force. Political security has been maintained without any hotspots, and the “All People Protect National Security” movement continues to flourish. Particularly noteworthy is the effective cross-border partnership with Laos’ Na Lam village cluster, which has contributed to border security and built sustainable cooperative relations.
In Party building and political system development, Na Sang has seen many positive changes. The organization and structure of the Party have been improved, with enhanced cadre quality and the admission of 250 new Party members. Seven villages that previously lacked Party cells now have them. Currently, 100% of villages, residential clusters, schools, and health stations have Party cells, and nearly 80% of village heads are Party members. Inspection, supervision, and disciplinary efforts within the Party have been carried out seriously, enhancing transparency, effectiveness, and leadership efficiency. The government’s mass mobilization work has been strengthened, promoting the role of socio-political organizations in monitoring, feedback, and mobilizing citizens to actively participate in patriotic emulation movements. Administrative reform and digital transformation have been appropriately prioritized, with clear improvements in citizen reception and complaint resolution.
Looking toward the next term, Na Sang commune has identified key priorities and breakthrough tasks to create visible changes in socio-economic development. The primary focus will be on sustainable agricultural and forestry development, coupled with forest protection and income enhancement for residents. The commune will gradually establish concentrated commodity production zones, attract enterprise investment, develop production along value chains, and aim for organic agricultural products. Essential infrastructure such as transportation, irrigation, and domestic water supply will be prioritized, particularly in highland and border villages. Culture, education, and healthcare will continue to receive comprehensive attention, with improvements in overall education quality and the integration of vocational training with job creation. National defense and security will be further safeguarded to ensure public order and peaceful living conditions for the people.
In terms of Party building, the commune will focus on improving the quality of its cadres and Party members, considering it a key task to strengthen the combat capacity and operational efficiency of the political system. The identified breakthrough lies in restructuring the agricultural sector toward efficiency and sustainability, with a focus on key crops such as tea, macadamia, coffee, rubber, and pineapple, while developing large raw material zones tied to on-site processing. The commune will also continue to accelerate the application of science, technology, and digital transformation across sectors, enhance human resource quality, and invest in major irrigation projects to serve agricultural production and adapt to climate change.
